I WAS SURPRISED WHEN I TRIED TO OPEN THE WEST.NET ON MOBILE PHONE I COULD NOT DO ANY ACTIVITY LIKE WORK ON JOB OR EVEN SLEEP IN THE HOTEL WITH MY MOBILE WHICH AHS A FASTER INTERNET.
    SUGGESTION
MAKING IT PLAYABLE USING PHONES LIKE OTHER GAMES WHICH CAN BE EASILY ACCESSED WHILE NOT AT HOME AN EXAMPLE IS FARMVILLE IN IPHONE WHICH IS ACCESSIBLE.
    Summary
I BELIEVE THIS IDEA WILL ADD SEVERAL BENEFIT TO THE COMMUNITY. ALSO IT WOULD INCREASE THE NUMBER OF MORE PEOPLE WILLING TO TRY THE MOBILE APPLICATION OF THE WEST AND IT IS ACCESSIBLE ANYWHERE YOU GO AND MAKES LEVELLING FASTER

    ANY IMPROVEMENTS ARE WELCOMED

    abskay,

    This was discussed numerous times.

I'm adding this to the Frequently discussed list now.

As for why it stalls out from being discussed is that it would require a lot of coding and direction of how the game should flow... whether or not it should be graphical or just text based.

I think text based would be boring, and would not have the draw power to bring new players to a game like that. The other thing is that the West is a flash driven game... and most phones are just starting to bring about flash... (example Apple iphone non Adobe flash disclaimer) that flash drains battery's. So the industry is taking baby steps on how to support flash based phone web games.

I think you would have to have a mobile world coded all for itself.. not being able to play your current worlds as many players would have wanted. That server would probably get overwhelmed with 100k players world wide wanting to play on it their cell phone.
