Labor Points

The Dark One

Okay, sometimes on jobs this message appears.

You need at least xxx more labor points to work on this job.' and I don't understand how I get them.'

Now I have had three people try to explain how labor points work and to be honest, I just don't get it.

So could someone tell me how to increase my 'Labor Points' in the most basic form they can, please.

The Skills Required for the Job, The Level's Of them (The Sum of 5) Makes the Amount of Labour Points you have, to Gain More you need to advanced levels then update the skills needed for that job.

So you click a job, look under 'Used Skills'. I just upgrade any of them to level five and once done I can do that job, even though I never did all of them to level five, just one?

Each job has a simple math equation:
"Used Skill points" - "Difficulty" = "Labor Points"

In this example the difficulty is 18, and the sum of my "Used Skill points" is 19. You need at least ONE Labor point to be able to do a job.

The required type of skill points vary from job to job.

Skill points are increased by expending atributes, and skills, on your Skills page.

if i am correct you, the skills you need for the job are added together which you will see on the left for the activity requirements, then the total amount of skill levels (from the required skills) is used to subtract from the difficulty and its a + you can do the activity if its a - you cant

That make sense? lol

Hightower

Be VERY careful expending skill points, once they are expended you can't get them back (well you can, but only later in the game at great expense).

Alright. I actually think I get it now. Thanks a lot.

I dont get it....

I want to do the job Called "Selling newspaper The Western Star"
and i need lvl 3 Appearance, and I DO HAVE level 3..

But it says i need 10 More labor Points, so now how the hell do i gain labor points?:eek:

it says Sum of the five skills, are 3 and the difficulty is 12 and Lbor points are -9

Westy

Its not that complicated, you get labour points by deducting the difficulty from the skill points required for that job. So you haven't got enough enough labour points and the job requires a skill like 'Vigor' then just upgrade that skill or the others with it until you have at least one labour point.

Hope that help

Red points to skills used for the job. The numbers below are your levels.

Under the + sign is your total levels used for this job. It must be higher than the difficulty, because your total - difficulty = labour points and labour points must be 1 or above.

So if you don't have the requirements for a job, look at the skills used on the job, and level any of those up a bit until your levels total the difficulty of the job.

...and just to add to this. Try to add onto the skills most frequent in the list. For example if there are 2 "Construtions" needed, then upgrading this once will give you 2 skill levels for that particular task (2 for the price of 1).

I try and save a skill point early on in a level ... just in case I need to raise a skill so I can finish a quest later on.

Well, all what you people are saying i did not understand a bit, so then i did some tries myself :p

Look, if it says you need more labor points...
then you do these..

Look at the buttom left corner, you can see some squares and a number on it.
so. Upgrade them, and then you gain labor points,

e.g just say i am going to "Digging graves"
and there are a picture of:
Construction - Vigor - etc

And just say i need 3 more labor points.

To gain i go to Skills, and upgrade any of those pictures, get it???
so, if it says you need 3 labor points, you need to upgrade 3 times

Get it people?
if not mail me in - Game

You can also try changing your attire if you have found additional items
Each item of attire has different skills attached to it
Switching them around can also help to gain the labor points needed
