Ok, so while getting started, what is the best job to be doing? Right now, for money, i found tobacco, but for experience, i found cotton. Are there others i dont know about that can be done in the early stages?

Well then what you need to do is click the "Quests" button in the top-left corner

i'm having trouble understanding one of the quests. I talked to the sherrif and i accepted some sort of manhunt quest. Well, the hint just says:

Es lohnt sich, wenn du zwischendurch andere Tätigkeiten machst. Die Quests begleiten deinen Charakter nur auf seinem Weg. Nur diese zu machen ist nicht der effektivste Weg.

I'm doing the quests now too. But ofcourse sleeping every night and go on with working again. Sleeping is kinda account sitting. I was going to see in the settings if there was a account sitting rule but you don't need.

Go to a "Putting up posters" icon (there is one just above your current location), and perform the assignment until you fulfilled the requirements, ie put 2 posters up. Then return to the Sherrif and click "Complete Quest".

Its german,here's what it means:
you are supposed to set up posters..however before getting 2 posters you will have to consume quite some time therefore its reccomended doing other quests aswell.Only doing the poster job is not the most efficient way to grow.

but it gets it done is the point. I think it would just be better to get it all done in one shot rather than going from one random place to another

I've just translated it...so I dunno how long it really takes.There's a chance it might take longer than 2 hours why this advice has been given by the game staff,maybe Hightower could explain why.I guess the luck rate for receiving the items is low.

That's it... pick a quest (yes, you get more then 1 at a time as you progress through the game), and focus on that until it is done. Otherwise you're just wasting time travelling around.
