Chuck Schuldiner was the godfather of death metal. Henceforth, Death was the first real death metal band. The earliest stuff was the heaviest, but by Human, it was more just Chuck just playing heavy music. All of it was beautiful. Chuck was a virtuoso with a guitar, having no formal learning and basically improvised everything he did when he played. Death was disbanded by Chuck and he went to go out and create a band called Control Denied before dieing of cancer. All hopes of reunion died with Schuldiner. RIP.

Flogging Molly is a celtic punk band from California. Formed by Dave King, former singer of Fastway (which also included "Fast" Eddie Clark, former guitarist of Motorhead), Flogging Molly has been making a blend of punk rock and Irish celtic music. It's great stuff if you enjoy Celtic music, but also enjoy punk music.
