Hotels

Bema

Why are you still charged if you cancel them?

I flitted between two to find the quicker (couldn't be bothered with basic math or reading) and I was charged each time (3 in total) I clicked the confirm button. I have another outstanding work thingy before the hotel trip even begins so im curious as to why I was actually charged three times for a service im yet to use once? I'm gonna take it straight to trading standards!

Bema

As soon as you set u pay, no refund.
So going back to the original question, but phrased slightly more obviously:

Why is it set up like that?

I'm struggling to find a good reason from a gameplay (players) perspective.

HeftySmurf

Because in the 1700's if u asked for a Refund you most likely would have been Shot.

Nice and Realistic

Bema

Except I wouldn't have been able to pay the guy seeing as im an hour away from either hotel. No electronic banking back then.

Nice and realis...oh.

Bema

In the future I won't pay, cancel, and then repeat.

The issue isn't the paying for the service, rather the keeping it after you've cancelled.

Although I doubt many people would cancel after doing it...who knows.

HeftySmurf

If you wanted a little boost while u sleep then sure, Hotels work for more energy, when u wake u can cancel with some extra energy under your belt ;)

Phil

You gain energy progressively through your sleep. If you're in for 5 hours you will gain energy back. If we waited close to the full time then cancelled then you would get your energy up without paying.

Basically, if you wanna sleep, be SUPER serial about it.

Except of course there is no refund for cancelling the Hotel task
funny, I just watched an old black and white Maverick episode...

Maverick walks into the hotel, and the guy says 9 bucks for the week, in advance! Maverick leaves after only a day, and doesn't get his money back

I like the Simpsons example: "Pilgrims trade the Indians some guns for corn, and then the Indians take the guns, shoot them, and take the corn :D

Maverick is a maverick. I'm not.

I want the hotels to improve their service!
