Generalistic titles such as "question", "help", "lol" should also be avoided.

All "hats" can invite people, and you can found a town at any level. If you're new to the game, though, I'd strongly suggest you join an existing town with your first char, so you can see what a successful town is like. Then start up your own on another world. (I didn't do it that way, and I wish I had.)
