The Mist Terrace thread features: Mist Terrace information, City avalible weapons, basic funds information, History, Culture, Classes, Convoy Information.

General information
Mist Terrace is the largest and oldest city founded south of the boarder between Golden Reach and the Military controlled shelter area to the north. It is also the only city accessed by the Military Caravans, giving it reputation as the most wealthy, well defended, and well-armed city in the New World. It is the only city in the New world with a higher population of women than men, 51% to 48%, and it is also the only city in the New World where incredibly wealthy people can live a life of luxury without the worries of paying for bodyguards or protection. It's system of law is very brutal, those found in violation of the 5 basic laws are killed by executioners, usually hired Ex-Slavers or Outcasts looking to have work. The 5 basic laws were created in the first year after the founding of the city, to help 'ensure' that people remain safe and calm in a world where even a simple boar is three times the size of a man due to genetic acceleration. The 5 basic laws are No rape, No murder, No theft, No extortion, and No betrayal. These 5 laws were made simple for the large population, and all they needed to know was that if they broke these laws that they were good as dead. The crime rate has remained under 7% ever since the laws took effect, though outsiders can manage to stir up trouble without getting caught, as it often takes an investigation and a visit to a housing structure to bring someone to justice. Outsider crimes are often waved by the local Militia, as leaving the town for such unnecessary reasons aren't beneficial unless the perpetrator is a serial offender. In 2048, approx. 16 years after the radiation from the great war cleared, a large number of religious Workers grew tired of the secularism in Mist Terrace, and they abandoned the city for life in the east for a 'more traditional' lifestyle. The Town is called Cold Cape, and it is now one of the larger importers of fresh vegetables and meats to Mist Terrace.

Weapons
Firearms are a slightly important way of life in Mist Terrace. Being in an area surrounded by primarly thickets and smaller forests, and being more populated than other areas and having an outpost to the north and a camp to the east, wildlife don't generally stick around in the area as much as the smaller creatures. The walls built around the eastern perimeter of the city's land keep more species out, though Tree Wolves, Deer, and Massive boar have been known to inhabit and breed in the area, which causes massive problems for foragers and hunters who go into the woodlands alone. However, firearms are necessary for the defense of the populous from both Outsiders and criminals. Most civilians own at least three guns, and there is a wide variety of weapons to choose from as well. The stocks of weapons missing are simply unobtainable, very few people have the unobtainable weapons in their posession because of overuse or natural break down. One of the few unobtainable weapons only avalible to Mist Terrace residents is the CZ-75 pistol, one of the more accurate surviving 9mm pistols that outdoes the glock, Ruger P90, and Sig 226 in a shooting contest. It is also the only stainless steel 9mm pistol avalible.

Commerce and economy
Mist Terrace residents are divided into two main sections, but 4 sections in total.
The "Axis" section is where the richer and more powerful Mist Terracers live. Axis is controlled and regulated by Mercenaries in addition to the average Militia, and most civilians that live in axis are more beautiful physically, than emotionally, and many don't know how to hold anything different from a pistol or revolver. Rich merchants inhabit Axis, many paying for their own personal security as well, they all look down upon the workers and militia, of which didn't flee along with a third of the initial working population during the 'Cold Shoulder' standstill campaign of 2048-2050. Because of their massive wealth, however, the section of Axis has access to a multitude of firearms at the weapon stores, and a multitude of foods and ammunition at the markets. Main is very similar, however, there are less wealthy individuals living there, and more upper class worksmen inhabiting the section. Truss and Wells are, essentially, the 'low wealth' part of the city, where Workers and their families have to cope with harsher conditions. A higher rate of crime occurs here, and often, it takes longer for the militia police to care enough to investigate the crimes caused. Many wealthy individuals stay very far away from these low wealth sections of the city, though some are enticed to come by the large bars and polite hospitality, and of course the more motivating factor of women who give themselves away. Truss is the worse of the two districts, with a higher rate of robberies in the small space. It's often a blame game, as up to 3 families can share a two-story housing block. Truss is also a reason for the 'Cold Shoulder' campaign of 2048-2050, where religious familes didn't want to be associated with violence, sex, and drug abuse, which they believed were much worse than even the governments Secularism.

Culture
The Culture of Mist Terrace is mainly Athiestic, believing in no god, but in the area of Main and Truss, religious beliefs are held commonly by a portion of the population, though those truely dedicated have already fled for Cold Cape. Mist Terrace has a Militia force of more than 380 men in addition to its wall, making it the most Militaristic and well-armed of all of the areas in Golden Reach. Though their superior armament has come with a cost, Mist Terrace is an increasingly growing population, and more corruption within the Militia ranks is gaining strain on the values and gold that helped found the city. They are also far too used to their firearms, making Hand to Hand combat a very rare trait for the residents to follow unless they are hitting their family members or in a bar fight. It is one of the most Secular cities as well, as well as most criminalistic, rivaled only by Wescot city.

Clothing
Mist Terrace clothing is primarilly Rich and elegant, those able to afford Suits and leather shoes often buy them, and women wear lowcut dresses and sometimes simple blouses and expensive jeans of any make. Clothing is mainly based on Cotton, but shoes vary accordingly. The poor, however, must wear attire similar to the Western based clothing that Cold Cape Towners wear, the simple necessity for durability the primary reason for the cotton clothes.

In Play- Mist Terracers- As a rule for this game, players will use certain fonts and colors when writing their posts in this game pertaining to their faction and class. Size 3 Verdana will be reserved for OCC commentary, and it's coloration will be black.

As a Mist Terracer, your writing font will be Georgia.

Now, you may be thinking to yourself, what does your choice in class have to do with anything?

Well, there will be four primary classes, and each class has a font-color assigned to make the experience more easy to differ from other persons posts, and it makes it easier for one to roleplay with more than one character.

Militia- Mist Terrace Militia are strong men, able to take a beating while also able to dish it out. They have the ability to use any gun they come across.

Farmer- Farmers have the ability to create goods and sell to the community. They have training in how to effectively use a Revolver, Rifle, Shotgun, or Semi-automatic rifle.

Merchant- Merchants are specialists in the art of the smooth tounge, they have the ability to sell anything to the local populace, and they can barter down the price on most goods. Merchants have training in how to effectively use Pistols and Revolvers.

Con Artist- Con Artists are specialists in the art of the smooth tounge, they are able to talk their way out of almost anything, and can convince others to do their bidding in some way, or to give them an object. They can convince someone to hate them, or they can convince someone to love them. Con Artists are a specialist class of Merchant, however, they have given up their ability to buy things at a lower price and are often looked down upon in Mist Terrace as they often target the rich part of the population in Main and Axis. Con Artists have training in how to effectively use Shotguns, Pistols and Revolvers.

Is it possible I could be in Mist Terrace as a Milita but be exiled and live in Cold Cape as like a wanderer gunslinger? That way I can still have meh Ak-47 and live in Cold Cape. So I have the guns I already have from Mist Terrace but move from Mist Terrace to Cold Cape.

Cold Cape culture forbits the usage of Semi-automatics. They are a very religious and very family-oriented culture that views the time of the 'wild west' as the greatest time in American History, and they do everything they can to center their culture off of that.

Now as for Mist Terrace, they don't exile you for breaking the 5 laws, they kill you for breaking the 5 laws...

Cold Cape on the other hand will have '19 commandments' which I will work on here soon enough. You can sure visit Cold Cape though, maybe even take up permanent residence... after relenquishing your Semi autos ;) Visitors aren't allowed to take their guns into Cold Cape, that's why there's only one enterance. You have to turn your guns over to the sheriff, they safe keep them for you until you get back there. Same with buying guns, what weapons you buy are delivered to the Sheriffs department. A neat little implement that will make the game interesting.

Ok... look... Accuracy is something emphasized by Cold Cape, your character will be more accurate. Rate of Fire is something emphasized by Mist Terrace, your character will have faster-shooting guns, and of course lever actions and what not at your disposal. Slavers emphasise brutality and rate of fire, but they are hated by everyone and require slaves to do their labor. Outcasts are the most effective killers of the game using CQC, and they have slightly limited firearms usage, but still have guns, but they are barred from Cold Cape unless they are a born-exile.

I call joining, I think I shall be one of those Mist Terracers, can't have too many slavers. Or maybe an outcast, who is a wandering constable of sorts.

I'm curious why we're using this thread and not the main RP development thread to post intentions. RAWR! *flexes her opinion again*
