Get the luck out of here

OK, for anyone interested in the impact of luck bonuses, I have completed the Allan Quartermain set (+50 luck) and the Cartwright horse and saddle set (+50 luck) and am using them together today for the first time, performing a variety of jobs. I'm a soldier, not an adventurer. Each group listing will start with 100 percent motivation. So, here we go:

5 min grave robbing: nothing
5 min grave robbing: nothing
5 min grave robbing: $3330 grey indian pants
5 min grave robbing: $1920 fancy slouch hat
5 min grave robbing: nothing

Motivation for all jobs returned to 100 percent via easter eggs.

In order to have a more precise evaluation, one needs to post at least say 100 jobs + motivation. Motivation affects item drops.

Then repeat the same jobs with the same motivation and compare results

Good luck :)

I was about to say the same thing as zd3. Sample size is waay to small- ideally, it'd be 1000 jobs done at 100% motivation- although i realize that's not very easily possible.

I suppose I could not report anything and keep the data to myself. Is it scientific, well, no. But it may be interesting if not statistically relevant.

As a quick but brief update. Last night, I reskilled for a bit to full trading and queued up three, two-hour shifts of traveling with a merchant and one hour of selling guns to Indians before going to bed. Here were the results with the full +100 luck set on.

1. Blue leg guards, $8085
2. Fancy waist coat, $5200
3. Precise schofield, $6400 AND Key No. 3. $7500
4. Peacemaker, $4570

Excellent info, FargoBear! Appreciate this work.

Had you already got Key 3 or was this your first one? I did Work as a Travelling Merchant and it took me forever to get Key 3. Plus I had lousy drops at that job. Apparently I just needed better clothes. :)
