Nelx made her way towards the hangar. Nothing of incidence had happened on the journey. She had decided after some thought to take her time on the way to the hangar, not wanting to waste her precious energy... When she did eventually arrive, she enters the room just in time to see the silent guy doing acrobatics with his mech. "Very impressive, dear!" She shouted in the direction of the mech. "But can you hold your nerve in a real fight I wonder..." She was about to carry on, when she noticed the two lightsabres on the mech. So, she wasn't such a unique entity after all...Perhaps this one would come in useful... Ghor was already getting himself acquainted with his mech. She was looking forward to working with Ghor. He seemed to be pleasant enough. Whether or not he was dependable, she would have to find out...

Nelx continued to walk towards an empty space at the back of the hangar, when she stopped. Her ears alert for danger, she spun round, glaring at her surroundings. Then she realised, Dante, it had to be him, was playing tricks on her. The gun obviously still had safety catches on, so no lead came flying out in her direction. She found the gesture highly amusing, and burst into laughter. "Ohhhhh, Dante, you are a feisty one aren't you, dear" She winked at him, ignoring the finger he raised at her. Having had enough fun laughing, she decided to continue on with her life.

Once she reached the corner of the hangar, Nelx retrieved the black and white cube from her left pocket, and held it in front of her with both hands. Whispering a command in her Terran native language, she drops the cube, which falls to the floor. As soon as the cube hit the floor, it materialised, with her inside of it. "Now that felt about right..." She said to herself quietly. Since the mech had materialised around her, there wasn't any need to strap herself into anything. She was already in position to move around. Moving first her arms, and then her legs she smiles with satisfaction. She would leave her show of abilities until later, for Ghor and Xane to view.

It was at this point that an alarm goes off in the hangar. Nelx stayed where she was, in Sarixa, just in case any enemy should emerge to attack. Rather unexpectedly, the hangar doors started to open, and a massive ship starts to make its way into the hangar. Once the ship had landed, she moves forward, making her way around the large ship towards where she hoped Xane would be... "Well, well, what do we have here?" She continued to move around the ship until she reaches where the others are. Seeing no sign of Xane, she contents to sit down to await his arrival.

A loud alarm caused Ghor to jump. He quickly commanded the chestplate on The Savior to rise up, locking his body in place. He leaned back as his body fused with the mech, locking him completely into the large machine. His bright red optical sensors darkened suddenly, turning a deep blood color. The Savior sprang to life as Ghor's body stopped moving. He turned towards the opening hangar doors, only to see a large ship coming in. "Hmph...they could've warned us at least. They're lucky I didn't shoot that thing down!" he grumbled. His voice, still mechanical, had deepened somewhat, and had become far harsher sounding. The Savior, still crouched, quickly rolled backwards, out of the ship's way as it landed. "I'm guessing this contraption is how you all are getting into the station...looks like it's time to start getting ready..."

As the others left the room Xane turned to face him. He was being paid a lot more than the other mercs (and rightly so) for his combat experience, and maybe to train the mechies in groundhogging. However, Xane then appeared to increase in height, towering over him. Didn't scare him in the slightest though, mechs were a lot taller than Maxwell; they could tower over him, but a few well-placed shots would bring them crashing to the ground. Xane warned him that if Maxwell crossed him the penalty would be death. From the look on his face Maxwell reckoned that Xane wasn't kidding, and would try to kill Maxwell in such a situation. Whether he could or not was another matter entirely.
He shrugged. "Shiny." He smiled, before turning and heading off towards the hangar, sending a signal to select members of his company as he did so, calling them to his location. Maxwell doubted that he was going to end up double crossing the corporation, they were paying him a tidy sum, one that any band of space pirates would be very hard pressed to match. Either way, however, this mission would be fun.

Despite the multiple layers of armour plating and the pressurised canopy Dante was still able to hear the rumbling of the ships engines as it taxied into position within the hangar.
He'd watched with mild amusement as Barbie had tossed some kind of cube onto the ground before having her "mech" fold around her; more like a suit of power armour than a real mech in his opinion although he was kind of impressed in the tech it used, it was absolutely nothing like anything he'd seen within the Theocracy "Aww isn't that cute Trinity's got a new dolly to play with" He croons down the intercom to Nelx, being sure to turn off the loud speaker before he does so this damn mech has a mind of its own at times it wasn't the first time it had done something unexpected and although he'd heard about ghosts in the machine he wasn't quite yet ready to believe it.
As soon as what he assumed to be the assault craft had landed he follows the others towards it and made ready to embark.

"But can you hold your nerve in a real fight I wonder..." commented the human girl after Saracen finished testing his mech. In a crouch, Iggz merely tilted his head in response to the girl. Her mech was a lil bit shorter than Iggz, Saracen focused on the mech, information popping up in Iggz's helmet. It was then that a large ship entered through the hanger. Iggs walked towards the entrance of the ship, looking to the side of him, he saw he was beside Dante and his huge mech. Aww isn't that cute Trinity's got a new dolly to play with" commented dante at the human girl's mech. "should've turned the safety off" Saracen said, refering to Dante's earlier taunt. His voice coming out mechanical and deep out of iggz.

As Maxwell walked down the hall the lights flickered for a moment then returned to normal. Passing the checkpoint into the meeting room Maxwell finds that all the security drones and people gone. Continuing down the hallway to the checkpoint that had disarmed him earlier he finds it also lacking people. The only thing left at the station are his weapons sitting on the counter. Upon grabbing his equipment he suddenly finds he is not alone. Another person stands looking at him from down the hall. The person stands looking at him covered in black material and an unusual mask.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Xane walks through a maze of hallways following the line on the mini-map off of his omni-tool until stopping at an empty office and letting himself in. Punching in a bypass code, he had gotten a friend to crack on a bet, Xane uses the Absaluta's great communication nodes to remotely access the Terran Empire's local military database. Looking at the flight routes for Terran fleets close to the Federation of Bartheon. "Well at least they don't disappoint." he laughs copying a few of the routs onto his omni-tool before opening a communication channels.

As the mercenaries approach the ship a ramp lowers from the side of the ship and a machine hovers down the ramp. At the end of the ramp it stops and the mercenaries who have the capability notice active scans being taken of each of their mechs by the robot. Finishing the scan the sound of a distorted voice comes from the robot. "You are the mercenaries for the pirate assault mission, yes?"

The guards and drones were all gone from the security checkpoint, and the lights were all turned off. Maxwell rolled his eyes, either they thought this was funny, or they were just really bad security guards. Either was possible, and neither was particularly encouraging.
He stepped over to a nearby table, upon which sat the three large black duffel bags containing his armour and weapons.
Unzipping the nearest bag he pulled out a four foot long gleaming black laser rifle, dim green blinking lights flickering by the trigger and firing block,. He held it for a moment, savouring the weapon's beauty.
As he turned his head slightly he suddenly caught sight of somebody standing further down the hall. He turned abruptly, bringing the rifle round in front of his chest, holding it clear to see for whoever was facing him. As it turned out the person was covered in a weird kind of material, and wearing a strange black and white mask with stuff sticking out the side. It was looking at him. This wasn't right, that person shouldn't be there, Maxwell knew that in his gut. He'd travelled and fought and killed over most of known (and some unknown) space, he hadn't seen this before.
Changing his stance he brought the rifle forwards to bear on the figure, plastoid stock tucked into his shoulder, fingers held steady around the trigger.
"HANDS IN THE AIR!" He ordered. "Who the dìyù are you? State your gorram identity!" Bending his knees and keeping his posture low, bent in around the rifle, he advanced towards the figure, moving his head he looked through the gunsight, wanting to see what the in-built heat sensor would say. Was this person meatbag or metal?

DeletedUser28032

Hearing Saracen comment over the intercom Dante gives a single snort of laughter "Yeah only problem is its loaded with 30mm depleted uranium HEIAP rounds and fires at a cyclic rate of ten thousand RPM...I'd blow a hole through the floor...then set the place on fire" yeah that would definitely be bad for business not to mention his current state of freedom.
It was at this point that a ramp descended from the ship closely followed by an cybernetic octopus of some kind; his control panels pinging wildly as Trinity detected the active scan taking place. Despite his capability to block the androids efforts Dante simply tolerates the scan though not before pinging back one of his own in order to prove a point "Affirmative, requesting access to transport in order to commence the operation" Dante replied as his military training took over quietly wondering why the android had felt the need to ask? Surely that information was on file?

The masked thing simply stares at the armed mercenary as Maxwell shouts and threatens it with his gun. Looking through his heat sensor Maxwell sees nothing, no outline, no heat change it might as well not be there as far as his thermal sensor is concerned. At the same time Maxwell learns this the strange figure begins walking towards him and as it does so the lights behind it begin to shut off. Partially from the sudden aggressive seeming movement and the unnerving revelation that it doesn't have heat signature, Maxwell shoots the masked man in the face. The shot forces its face back but the thing continues its march towards the mercenary, its face righting itself. The hole from the shot leaves a hole all the way through its head, the skin exposed appears black and begins to rapidly grow filling the hole, fixing the broken part of the mask. As it continues to get closer and the wave of unlighted hallway moves closer further shots against its body prove futile as the holes fill in as fast as his gun can shoot. Suddenly Maxwell feels a great heat grow behind him as if someone had set the hall behind him on fire. At the same time Maxwell notices a large burning gash appear in the center of the being's torso, the being collapses to the ground and writhes in pain as the gash grows brighter. An unusual thing happens next the being simply fades away, from the edges of its extremities to the burning hole in its middle.

With the masked being gone Maxwell turns around to see an identical being standing a few feet behind him with a large sword jammed through the back of its chest. The skin around the sword appears to the burning and right before his eyes the being begins to burn. It glows brighter and brighter a light that blinds and even when Maxwell tries to turn away everything gets brighter until he can't see anything. Through hand covered eyes he can see things get brighter unit suddenly its not bright. Opening his eyes Maxwell finds himself at the entrance to the hanger, seeing the other mercenaries in their mechs and a large ship that he assumes to be their transport. Footsteps behind him mark the appearance of Xane as he walks up to the mercenary and leans on the side of the door to the hanger. "What are you waiting out here for... and what on earth is Doc doing over there." He says looking from the merc to the octopus like robot standing on the ship's open ramp.

Ignoring Xane, Maxwell walked straight out into the hanger and towards the landing ramp. His heart thumped in his chest and his breathing was swift and heavy, as he walked he took solace in the feeling of his boots treading upon the steel and calmed down. He didn't look back at Xane, the man was probably smirking.
All that... what had just happened (what Maxwell had seen anyway) had to be Xane's work. Maxwell knew that he wasn't crazy, so that could be ruled out. What had happened had to have been a hallucination, induced either by some substance Xane had injected into him when he wasn't looking, or by some weird telepathic software.
Either way, he wasn't going to let it affect him, he was a professional gorramit, and he was going to act like one. However he could probably allow a little lapse of judgement when it came to Xane... nobody humiliated Maxwell, even if the humiliation was in his own mind.
Gripping his duffel bags tightly he sent another more urgent message to his crew. The sooner he could get in the company of men he could trust, the better.

The Robot rotates towards Dante. "Access denied, group profiles corrupted, require permission of commanding officer to change permissions."
From behind the robot footsteps can be heard culminating in the appearance of a short brown haired man wearing dirty clothes and holding an old fashioned data pad. "Hey Doc, whats the hold up and what on on Terra did Xane just send me. You know this stuff is probably illegal..." The man says looking at the data pad as he walks down to the robot, then stopping suddenly. looking confusedly at the mechs. "Doc...what did you do? Why are they still standing there?" the man says apprehensively looking at the robot.
"Pilot, Richard, group profiles corrupted, unable to confirm identity of pilots, cannot allow entry."
"Riiight... you were experimenting with our files again weren't you... Great now we have to wait for... Hey! Xane! Doc accessed our files again so these are the people right?" Richard says waving to Xane leaning on the entrance to the hanger and with a nod from the white haired man he gives a thumbs up. "Right everyone in, don't want to leave those pirates waiting." He says waving the mercenaries to enter the ship as the robot disappears into it and Xane slowly walks to it, frowning after Maxwell who seems to be acting different.

The robot stated aloud that the data files were corrupted, and would need confirmation. Subsequently the pilot appeared and with Xane, authorised their entry, commanding them to come in. Xane was looking at him and frowning, Maxwell glared back.
The familiar shout of "Shàngsi!" Greeted him from behind. Maxwell turned around to see five of his company jogging into the hangar.
They were dressed in a variety of non-combat clothes, but most of them were dressed in a fashion similar to Maxwell, as well as carrying black duffel bags containing their equipment. He'd chosen some of his best and most loyal troopers (well, as loyal as a merc could be). There was Dubhglass Croft, a thickset ex-soldier a few years younger than Maxwell, Maella Anna, a young markswoman, Zhou Yin Song, a heavily scarred ex-pirate rifleman, Shahin Amiroez, a small, athletic groundhogger turned reliable scouter, and finally Erlend Torgeir, a square-jawed, lean ex-soldier and Maxwell's right hand man.
Maxwell waited for them to catch up to him before beckoning for them to follow him onto the boarding ramp.
"What's the deal yǒuhǎo?" Asked Erlend.
"Gāisǐ de tā nánzǐ!" Cried out Zhou, looking at the mechies. "We're not doing a job with those gorram Jī xiàn shǎguā!"
"Zhùkǒu!" Maxwell snapped. "Us and those mechies have to work together for now. We're hitting a pirate space station and then a pirate ground base. There'll be pirate skyjocks, but the others will take care of them. We just get into the space station and kill everyone we find. Yì. Just qián kǒu and do your gorram jobs, xiǎnrán?"
Zhou grudgingly nodded, as did the others as they followed him up the landing ramp.

Hearing that they weren't allowed to embark the transport due to insufficient security data or to put it more simply they had lost all of their security data Dante simply leans back in his chair and laces his fingers behind his head mumbling something about how "this would never have happened within the theocracy" as he does so. Despite the remark however he was content to wait, after all he was being paid regardless...it wasn't his fault if they paid him for sitting on his ass all day in a hangar waiting for security clearance, though it was at this point that their illustrious leader Xane decided to speak up and vouch for them.
With the security problems resolved Dante slowly leads Trinity onto the ship keeping a wary eye on the group of ground hogger’s also embarking; not because he didn't trust them but because they were about the size of a Barbie doll and Trinity was more than capable of stepping on one of them, and turning one of your team mates into a gooey red smear was most certainly bad for business.
Once aboard the ship he positions Trinity in the cargo bay facing the large assault door so that he could get moving the moment they opened not wishing to be caught flat footed in such a large and obvious target as the assault craft. Throwing on a pair of heavy duty mag-locks to keep him in place Dante switches off all of the non-vital systems and sits back, preparing himself for the long wait ahead of him. Pulling a well thumbed copy of an Adis Bible from beneath his seat he begins to read.

Nelx had made her way around the ship which had just arrived, passing Xane and the weirdo Chinese guy on the way. This was going to be fun! A mercenary... She was a mercenary. Her! A simple girl from a small Terran planet, a...mercenary... Well, she would get over it eventually, but for now, this was the biggest thing she'd ever done in her life...

It was as she made her way round to the other side of the ship that she saw the open hatchway and a strange robot standing on it, with a man in dirty clothes just behind. The robot was saying something about access denied to Dante, who looked incredibly funny standing the way he was... The robot then called the man Richard, and then the dirty man went on about something or other, before inviting them all on board. Nelx maneuvered her mech on board the assault carrier, then walking over to the far side, she positioned herself so that she had an unobstructed view of the rest of the ship. It wouldn't be too good to keep her eyes off of Dante, now would it... Deciding that this trip had to have some sort of entertainment, she calls to Dante, "Soo, Dante, what's your mech like, dear?" enunciating every syllable as if she were talking to a toddler... Although, Dante really wasn't that far off... While she waited for his reply, she experimented with the arms of the mech, to make sure she was completely used to them...

Name: Lieutenant Commander Ilsa Aaronsohnia, Tamish Planetary Militia, retired
Faction: Officially the Independent Planet of Tam, but since her retirement, Ilsa has been independent, helping her pockets
Age: 29
Gender: female
Race: Tamish human
Appearance: appears as a standard human, the key difference is the eyes and hair, both a deep red http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__.../55/Amberr.jpg (ignore the blue eyes). Almost always seen in the uniform of a TPM officer whether it be pristine or ragged, which depends on her state of inebriation. When lucid, will maintain proper civility. When in nonmobile combat, will wear the TPM Joint Integrated Combat Dress, with the ability to integrate every combatant's senses to every other combatant who is wearing compatible gear.
Weapons: a small assortment of weapons, including the RC3M5 adaptive rifle, Militia Officer Academy Rivertown standard issue CR7 Officer Revolver, Militia Officer Academy Rivertown standard issue vibratitanium Sabre
Personality: very reserved, quiet, a standard introvert. Will sometimes have the appearance of a drunkard. When required to talk, will have as few words ae possible.
Skills: command and control, tactical leadership, piloting of small craft, operation of TPM power armour and field repair of such, infantry ground combat.
Bio: Ilsa was born to Baron Edward Aaronsohn and Baroness Matilda Aaronsohnia of the Barony of Tara, 8th year of the reign of King Charles II of Valus and 17th year of the reign of High Emperor Alec. Being raised as a baron's daughter guaranteed much training in proper civility and honour and how to eat properly &c.. Being the daughter of a baron also guaranteed your future career. In the barony of Tara, this meant a commission upon completion of MOA. On Tam, there are three MOAs: Rivertown, Glamis City, and Alaris. Rivertown, being located in the neighbouring Barony of Austin, was Ilsa's location from her 16th to 19th birthdays.
Upon completion of MOA, with quals in powered armour combat, unpowered infantry combat, and small craft piloting, Ilsa entered the Militia Naval Infantry as an ensign, commander of Mobile platoon, 18th Combined Forces Regiment. Through an eight year career, Ilsa rose to Lieutenant Commander, and XO of the 14th Mobile Battalion, under Commander Oliver Bonzo. Commander Bonzo was slated to retire in under a year, leaving Ilsa as CO. An invasion of the Barony of Stamford by forces of the Planet of Kijsin proved to have unexpected results. Normally a brilliant tactician, Commander Bonzo was, by all appearances, giving the Kijsinians the battle, and the lives of Tamish combatants. When confronted, Bonzo admitted to working with the Kijsin administration to help conquer Tam. After killing Bonzo in a fit of rage, Ilsa led the remainders of the battalion to victory. Afterwords, Ilsa fled Tam, taking with her a Firefly, her personal power armour, combat gear, and some money.
Over the past two years, Ilsa has been seen trading throughout the systems and planets. Though running a ship meant to be crewed by around 7, Ilsa has managed with one android, called Byte, and two Lucas repair droids. Typically operating legally, Ilsa has had a few shady deals. Also occasionally, Ilsa can supposedly be seen on a battlefield, either in power armour or bog infantry kit. The alleged ferocity has earned her a nickname of the Volcano. Whether this title is earned is up for debate.

This was Mos Eisley Cantina made real. If a greater hive of scum and villainy existed, Ilsa hadn't been there. And why would she? This place was more than risky enough as it was. Ilsa normally only dealt with legitimate or small time criminals, and never at their base of operations. But, the firefly, which Ilsa had decided to call Gnat, after hiding from a Kijsinian battleship by resting on the back of a fire and control radar until they jumped. But, Gnat needed important parts soon, according to Byte. Important, in this case, meant really fracking expensive.

Though most of Ilsa's jobs had given her enough tin to live comfortably, none of those jobs would give Ilsa nearlu enough tin. Here, though, the jobs paid much more. That pay came with an increase of risk. After taking only three jobs here, Ilsa had repelled seven boarding parties, evaded numerous warships, and talked her way out of two GALPOL searches. None of this had happened until Ilsa had come to this place. It was very stressful.

It was this very stress that drove Ilsa to the comforting, if grimy, arms of this particular cantina on the orbiting pirate base. The alcohol tasted like liquid smeg, and was probably overpriced due to the illegal chemicals found within, but it cut through the gloom, and it did leave one in whatever state desired. For Ilsa, this state was in a corner table, angrily arguing with an example of an unknown species over whether Sun Tzu could still be applied to space warfare.

(This is just a set up for my character. The cantina and trading post are both at the space station the mercs plan to attack. Madi has approved of this.)

Hearing Nelx's patronising tone coming over the intercom he half considers simply ignoring her, after all he was currently sat inside a mech the size of a two storey building with an advanced electronic warfare suite. However fearing that by ignoring he would simply provoke the wretched woman to continue speaking to him he sighs heavily before replying "Infantry support and electronic warfare...I am here to make sure that those big bad pirates don't fry your itty bitty powered suit" he said in a disdainful tone of voice viewing powered suits as more of a toy than a real mech. Sure if enough of them managed to get close enough then they could deal him some pretty nasty damage thought for the most part they were just something to frag whilst there weren't any real mechs to deal with

Nelx groaned as Dante suddenly went into a lecture about his mech, although...his last statement caught her attention. Nelx turns her mech to face his... It wasn't an offensive gesture, rather just that she wanted to address him directly. "Ahahaha, ohhh, how interesting Dantaay... Although...I'm convinced that it'll be you that will need the extra protection deaaar. She winked, then realised that he couldn't actually see her... Emitting another burst of laughter, she croons over her loudspeaker to Dante, "Oh Dante, I wish you could have seen that..." After the moment of excitement was over, Nelx angled Sarixa around to look for Ghor's mech. Seeing him boarding the ship, she calls, "Hey Ghor! You ready for this?" Nelx waited intently for her friend's reply.

The hanger of the ship proved ample room for all of the people and mechs, the hanger's walls are filled with machinery for repairing and maintaining large machines. More octopus robots move about adjusting machinery and indicating the maintenance stations for each mech, tailoring each station to the mecha. There are many stations not in use showing off how large a group this kind of vessel is tailored for. At one of the stations kneels an orange mech with large wings that assuredly is Xane's.

Xane stands at the far end of the hanger next to the pilot, Richard and waves the mercenaries to walk over to him. "Welcome to our ship Old Iron. As some of you may have noticed it is a ship of Terran make, a recently decommissioned model for their military. We managed to obtain this one and have refitted its systems for our purposes. Unfortunately we couldn't get the proper permissions for getting its original weaponry so we make due with frontier grade weapons. This ship should be able to out gun most pirate groups in the area though as an assault carrier we don't have the firepower needed to take on big groups or larger ships. Now, this man here is Richard, he's an ex-Terran soldier and he is in charge of piloting the ship, working our com channels, sensors and fire control. He is a rather hard worked man so don't cause him any trouble." Xane says causing the pilot to fidget awkwardly.
"It's not too bad, I can handle it." Richard says.
"I know you can its just unfortunate I couldn't get permission to have an AI installed here and that we are having to make due with just you and Doc controlling this whole ship since we are low on man power as of three days ago." Xane says. "Anyway we need to get there today, go do what you do best." Xane says patting the pilot on the back who gives him a salute and walks off into the ship.
"Now then I have you organized into three teams; team one is Chal, Dante and Saracen you three will enter the station, on foot and take control of the control room for the station; Ghor and Nelx you two are with me, we will take out any launched fighter groups and lock down the station's hangers; Maxwell, you and your squad will be doing the heavy lifting, take down heavy resistance and secure the space elevator. After we take control of the station I will give you the next part of this mission. That is all, If you need me I'll probably be in the communication room. You have free range of most of the ship, just don't go into area's Doc's robots are guarding." Xane finishes turning away from the group briefly before remembering something. "Oh yes, don't be alarmed if you see a larger octopus robot its Doc, he's some kind of awakened octopus species. He's relatively harmless. You have thirty minutes till we reach our destination." He says as he turns around walking away to the sound of the engines powering up as the ship made its way out of the hanger.

Location: Pirate Space station, cantina Planet: Asteon

The cantina certainly wasn't a great place, the tables were dirty, the drinks were probably toxic and large guard leaned on walls watching and waiting to break up the inevitable drunken brawls, of which there were many. Ilsa sat in a corner arguing with an alien of a species she didn't know. Eventually her distraction from waiting for her next job left and she was left alone to look around the cantina. From her spot she could hear the talk of the man,who by now, she assumed to be the local loudmouth. He was talking in loud voices to a group about his boss's most recent catch. Apparently he had somehow captured an Exchange ship and it had unusual cargo on it. "Then, after us an the boys killed all the exchange men boss looked in the vault and declared that we would get triple pay! I dun know what boss found but it must be worth a fortune. Anyway after that he had us all leave the ship and brought in the techies, he's going to try and get that ship to work for us. Triple pay, killed some gorram Exchange men and stole their ship. Next rounds on me!" The man shouted followed by the cheering of the men around him.

Maxwell followed the pilot into the ship's hangar. There were octupus-like robots everywhere, although not as big as the one that had harassed them on the boarding ramp.
Xane gave them their orders, the mechies were splitting the roles of securing the command centre and keeping the skyjocks off everybody's backs. Meanwhile Maxwell and his team would be securing the lift.
"That should be easy enough." Maella nodded in affirmation to the orders.
Maxwell turned to face his team. "Okay people, get suited up already." Before any of his group could reply, he headed off to a shadowy corner to change.
He undressed and donned the flexible yet tight black bodysuit that preceded his armour. He pulled the chipped and dented grey plastoid plates out of the three black duffel bags that stood at his feet and carefully attached them each to his body in the correct order. Breast and back plate first, groin piece, thigh, knee, ankle, armoured boots, back of the legs, shoulders, arms, hand armour and finally the helm.
With pride he pulled it out of one of the bags; like the rest of his armour it was scarred by battle, but still painted a crystal clear matte grey. Its' design was simple enough; A single curved reinforced plastoid piece covering the top, back and sides of his head, with a tinted transparisteel full-face visor with built in HUD. Resplendent on top of the helm stood two crudely crafted steel devil's horns, painted a bright red.
Putting the helm aside, he took the two empty black duffel bags into the as yet unopened third bag. After zipping the bag tightly shut, Maxwell lifted the hefty bag in one hand and his helm in the other, before sauntering out back into the main hangar space towards his team, who were still changing.

Ghor was the last one to board the ship, as he wasn't using his mech's ability to hover just above the ground...he felt it was a waste of energy when not actually fighting. Without the added mobility that floating allowed, the mech was incredibly slow. He got onboard just in time to hear Nelx ask if he was ready for the task. "If I wasn't I wouldn't be here now would I?" he snapped irritably, his vision ports flashing an even darker red momentarily. It was clear that he was melding deeper with his mech, and it was further altering his personality. His voice was even lower now than it had been when he'd first fused with it, though the metallic sound made it higher than it would otherwise have been.

Xane's explanation was straightforward...the mechanical man found himself relishing the approaching challenge. They were then told they had a half hour before they reached their destination, meaning he had time to wait. Upon conclusion of the briefing, the front of The Savior popped open, and the mech stopped moving as Ghor's body began to animate again.
