Church building exp

Just curious why is the exp gained from building a church all over the place?

I wear the same clothes every time I build.

How did I manage to get more exp on a 93% mot build vs a 97% mot build? The construction points are going down as they should per mot, but the exp doesn't look right..

edit 3 hours and the exp goes up and down.

Slightly???

Slightly would be 20 or 30exp in my book, but a 232 point difference to a 117 point difference?

It sure makes it difficult if you are trying to plan your exp points to level up a character on a building when you have 100+ point difference.

EDIT: I just noticed if prior to doing the job it tells you how much exp you will get. Close it and open again and the value ramdomizes. So I could keep opening it and wait until it has a highest random number and build on that. Looks like a bug. As i can choose the exp I want before I do the job.

In the old version church-constructing exp was random as well. Since exp tripled in the new version the constructing exp has tripled as well causing larger differences in gained exp from each construction job.

Afaik the exp from constructing is calculated when the construction job finishes, so waiting for a high random number doesn't work. At least this was the case in the old version, so I assume this is still the case.

It's indeed not slightly random, but it's random. I recently received 2000+ xp from building a church, and received around 600 today, so the randomness is present.

As far as your 'trick' goes, Magnadine is as far as I know correct in assuming the reward is calculated when the job finishes.

ok I agree it is random as I just built based on a 295 exp prior in the window before clicking build on the job and after 1 hour I got 355 exp after the job was complete.

I dont mind the extra exp, but the randomness is very confusing on this as compared to other jobs that are very static and you get what you sign up for.

You're lucky you're getting extra exp, personally I always get hundreds of exp below what it says I should. Even before the update I was getting 200s and even 100s when I should've been getting 400s. But then again my luck in general is horrible, I also rarely average higher than 400 damage on my W11 dueller with class premium on.

i have the same problem,cause yea it is a problem actually

exp points on building church is far to random.

i pay my ass off to buy filtered cigarettes to keep the motivation high but all that doesn't seem to matter cause occasionaly i get more exp with less motivation.

before accepting to build the church it even say's you earn money with it and not only with the church with every building,that's just a bug right? so get it out then won't be to hard if you ask me.

and the exp is never even close to what you get and that's fine by me if that's the rule then that's the rule but then get rid of the misunderstanding info you get when wanting to build and just tell that it's random,more like a surprise on howmuch exp you get :laugh:

it's just very bad cause you try to find the best outfit to keep on building on high speed but this confuses all of it.

I have to agree it is just confusing and when this game is trying to get new players, those players are going to be confused as well when they try to build and expect a certain exp. value.

As for the cash.... on the construction screen that just shows your town treasury cash... not what you are going to earn. I think that is a good aspect as it shows you how much you have to draw from. Or do you see something else that Im missing???

Other jobs you get the heads up what you are going to get. Construction seems to have not gotten an overhaul as the other jobs did in V2.0

Cant believe Im asking for this but if the devs went thru and changed the stats of all other jobs then whey didnt they change construction job???

man i thought this was about the insane xp amounts you get from church building you can see it on dakota now half of the top ranked people are building churches 2k xp per hour they gain even the best gold job won't give you more then 1200 xp per 2 hours lol :p

GF, it's not in 2.0 that construction became different to the other jobs. The exp rate has always been random in construction, like it was in all jobs before the update that changed the job screens from displaying an exp, money and luck as percentages to displaying them as exact values. They never changed the construction formula when they changed the formula for all the other jobs, it seems.

Although what does involve 2.0 is that hour long jobs now cost 14 energy, except for construction which still costs 24 for one hour.

I don't think you get "an insane amount of xp" for building the church, as it's been said here. You take what you deserve. The experience rises along with the church level so it takes many hours of building to get to the 2k-3k xp, which come fom 90-100+ lvl churches.

If you have the merit or luck of being in a town with a church that evolved, then cheers, enjoy it. If you don't, either work for it or stop whining over those who do.

your kidding right? watch dakota they get 2k or even more xp on level 50 churches already and as level 60-70 pure construction, getting a church that high isn't exactly such a challenge as well it takes a few people building a few days.

Now in all honestly you don't think church construction xp is a tad high seeing on dakota(a new world!!) people get 40-50k xp a day where even if you do 12 2 hours hold jobs you might get 15k xp (not to mention skilling to do those jobs is a pain and can't be reached easiest + you need to find em gold which they aren't often) its totally unbalanced, try to see how many quests you need to complete to get such an amount of xp.

And it has nothing to do with luck being in such a town, just have high construction and ask an invite and you will be accepted, since the more workers the faster the church level rises :)

IMO i really hope the devs will cap building xp since atm its just nonsense how fast you can level with it, or you think its normal you can go level 90 to 93 in a day? maybe check the hall of fame on older worlds, and see how long people did for the steps level 80 to 100 and 100 to 120, you will see that beeing to able to do those steps in 1-2 weeks is really really fast compared with the previous situation(just an example on colorado the first person to reach level 80 took more then a month to reach level 100 and almost 2 months to reach level 120, on dakota world is not even 2 months old and within a week we will already have the first level 100s due to that building)

Fine then lets get away from V2.0. It is a bug that needs to be fixed from v1. and v2. All other jobs have a fixed exp amount so why doesn't construction?
Obviously there is a legal loophole here that needs to be looked at as people on wDakota are exploiting it to get higher up in the exp ranks early on in the game as Zeta has pointed out.

lol i am not mad about losing a top rank, since i am at the highest rank i been, and thats not with nuggeting from 1 job to another this new map is much easier to cross then the old 1 and crossing the entire map takes less then 30 minutes. And no i won't reskill either since i don't care so much about my rank, however i honestly think inno didn't foreseen what happened when they released immediately church building and what is the impact on the current gameplay.

I think its not to hard to comprehend that its very disbalancing if theres 1 line of levelling giving 4 times more xp then any other option, basically causing the game to head into a do 1 or 2 times build a casino or mission a day for cash and build your church the rest of the day, no need to do quests since no quests gives the xp you earn with building your church

so basically quests and 95% of the jobs become totally irrelevant if you wanna level thats just not good

It's not the random exp that makes construction such a good job, it's the fact that high level churches give a lot of exp per hour. How fast people are levelling through construction has nothing to do with this thread.

Its taken 1.345 hours to get Cheyenne's church (W11) to level 77. Try putting that much effort into construction and stop complaining about xp.
