Hi I'm new to the game. When I started playing a couple of days ago, there was a lot of
chat in the chat window, but now there is nothing. It says there are 71 people in the room. What did I do wrong when I was clicking everywhere figuring things out? Thanks.

Much of the chat that occurs in-game happens in town and alliance chatrooms, as well as player-made special chatrooms. The 'General' rooms aren't used anywhere bear as much as the old County chat rooms that used to exist, and in my opinion need to be brought back to the game... You might occasionally come across someone advertising an item that they are selling/looking for, and that might spark a conversation, but it's not very often that you'll find a full conversation going, even on the newest world.

If you're looking for an active chat, I'd suggest that you find a large alliance with a lot of player, experienced and not so experienced, and you'll find a good mix of personalities to talk to!
