BUG revisit old town but can't collect gear left

I found another ghost town with more points so moved across but forgot to collect the stuff I had in the market, now just spent an hour traveling back to that town only to find there is nowhere to click and no market shown. Does this mean I have lost my stuff which leaves me well over 10K out of pocket.
