Ask CM about the game

I really understand that some of you are unhappy with the previous CM leaving, but please try to express this by respecting others.

I would like to elaborate a bit more the new server topic. First of all I can really go along with some of your reasoning about them ruining the gameplay on older worlds, but I would like to take the opportunity to also introduce the other part: the players who are new to the game, or the ones who would like to play our game with a fresh start to be able to have a good ranking and feel again the excitement of the early gameplay.

We do understand that we cannot make everyone happy, but we do our best to maintaining a balance and representing all player group's interests and demands.

Thank you for your understanding!

"We do understand that we cannot make everyone happy, but we do our best to maintaining a balance and representing all player group's interests and demands." ---- This part....

In other words.
Make innogames happy to get some moneeeyyyyyy.

Btw i hope your not lying about the reason for Hr Nyborg's leaving.... Personal reasons...
If so, i will respect his decision. But my money is still on innogames..........

No offense, Mr. CM, but this just looks like a generic, run-of-the-mill reply handed out by someone at Inno to try & do damage control on what is obviously Nyborg being canned.

What does 'maintaining a balance and representing all player group's interests and demands' even mean? From your POV? The whole of .net has been crying for balance for years now, whether it has to do with FFs or duels (hello, character classes???) - I won't go into detail on this here because it would literally turn into a novel & besides, there are already a ton of posts/requests/improvement or balance ideas & much more on the forum where nobody has replied because nobody from Inno gives a crap about reading the forum (well, apart from Nyborg who, like most people have already mentioned, had revived the forum discussions) or devoting any time to formal requests which have been sent over the years.

Instead of trying to insult our intelligence (not you personally, of course) by telling us how you at Inno 'represent all our interests and demands', how about for once you start by actually showing us? You know, walk the goddamn walk, not just talk the godfreakingdamn talk?

Cheers,
Hari

Even as a not new player, joining new worlds is a completely different experience. The players are different, the dynamic is different. I get that so many players don't want new worlds, primarily because they don't want their main world to die, but there might be a reason that happens. If players are willing to go to a new world and give up on their primary world, then that world is likely not good for those players. The ones who stay...well, they like things the way they are.

I do not envy anyone who is tasked with maintaining balance and trying to make people happy, while also making sure they can stay in business and be profitable.

Regardless, that all requires a rational measure of genuine transparency and communication from Innogames. Not with Facebook banter or random YouTube tutorials but an actual statement about The West as a game on a regular basis. Simply having seasonal repeating events and random special sales does not qualify in my mind. For example, the official The West Dev Blog hasn't been updated in 5 years. That was a channel for actual transparency with communicating with the player base about the game, not one that inevitably drove sales in the game like Facebook, etc.

If Inno can step up and say what the plan for the future of The West is maybe then they'll get some real buy-in from new and veteran players alike. You do that and the solvency will follow.

I think this is the main complaint of anyone that has to deal with a larger entity, whether it's government, work, school, online gaming, etc. Transparency is very delicate and hard, and so is communication, depending. I hope it will get figured out, though, because this is a great game.

Great game? Are you sure about that? The only great thing about this game is the community that it built up. It will die off whether you like it or not. It used to be a great game, not anymore. Proof for my review is, millions literally stopped playing it years ago.

Was. Before this Inno-competent management.

Lets hope the new "Community Management Specialist" will be a good one..
it could have been better, but only if it got out of browser only game. Its a really big factor today and during that time when it started. And to be frank, I don't think even a competent management would have pulled that off. Cause a competent management wouldn't try to gamble on a platform that was the future.(mobile is now, future is
I won't even say.

> but we do our best to maintaining a balance

I know you're new to the whole CM thing but are you also new to the game?
There hasn't been a balance here since the screwup with GG and that was... 9 years ago? Or 10? Eversince it's just one set after the other trying to out-op the previous gear's screw-ups

You're (as in the company, not you) not not making everyone happy, you're basically making most quite miserable. That's why it's the same 200 people+ their multies playing on all server. But we know this isn't inno's priority so oh well :D

He actually isn't new to being CM. (ex-Hungarian one) He even has been Event coordinator and stuff.

But basically giving us the generic Corporate comments here..

Well, either way, removing Comments don't help with that for sure.
No comments were removed, I just wanted to ask everyone to be polite when writing to the public forum, so we can really avoid the need to delete comments :)
