while I understand that Colorado overfills an event fort, making two fights needed. I do not feel that splitting the fireworks between the fights is 'fair' to those that may only get in one of the fights. Sure those that make it into both fights get the full amount, but it would be nice if a better system was in place for those that miss the first fight. And for those that made it in, they need the second fight too, to get the proper reward.
We also take into consideration the normal firework reward that you gain from the battle. Colorado fills which brings in more than 3000 fireworks if you die in the battle. On other worlds you would only get a third or even less of that due to low numbers. The total fireworks gained is 99.99% of the time higher on Colorado even if you only get into one battle compared to the other worlds. You lose 750 fireworks from split reward but gain 2000 from higher participation.

Regarding the Awesomia on Colorado, one thing needs to be kept in mind is that if an Awesomia is dug during primetime, it essentially takes up a time slot when a regular prime could have been dug. The rewards from awesomia are quite nice, but in terms of FFing, they are worse than regular primetime battles as there's no proper ranking, no leader and ofc, no defined plan and general to use the nuke. In rest of the worlds where hardly any FFing action takes place, these battles make sense in getting up some numbers. But on Colorado it seems to take up the spot of a serious primetime battle, and now these are split, two primetime battles.

So, my thoughts is that perhaps Colorado awesomia battles can be scheduled during off prime, thus letting the prime FFs go on normally. This is just my suggestion.

I like the fact that you get fireworks for dying. :up:Makes me look forward to the event of grabbing my tummy in pain as bullet rips into it.
Colorado certainly does have a lot of battles. You can almost join one every hour or thereabouts. I wonder if the leaders could time it better when Awesomia occurs?

I hear what you are saying. But for two reasons I don't think it is possible.
1. Only the "real" fort fighting community will feel the battles are bad, many other just sign up for the fireworks. We have to accomodate those players as well.
2. There are only 3 Awesomia battles (yes 5-6 for Colo) during this event and on Colorado there are usually 5 battles a day. It's not a big sacrifice and on those days there are Awesomia battles, there are also often another large battle after it, making Awesomia more like a pre-prime battle.

With regards to Awesomia battles being boring, we are working on something special (at the moment only on Colorado) that we hope you will enjoy. Stay tuned for more information.

I am with harsha , in colorado , already we can fill prime time big battles , so why we need awesomia ones ? Just for 750 more ? I can skip 750 because there is no fun on it , no leader , no rank and even win for what ?

Even with that in mind, personally, I feel there is no need to have two Awesomia FFs on Colorado - you can have one, give the maximum rewards in that. Whoever is left out always has the option to send a ticket and have the rewards credited to their account by the support team. If you have two Awesomia, it does not mean the problem of people being left out is solved - people will still get left out of both - so why not just have one?

Also, the prevailing argument in Colorado is that it would be better if the mods organized overflow battles after Awesomia, rather than leaving it to the players to organize such battles. The same firework rewards could also be applied to those overflow battles, so essentially everyone will have a fair shot at the rewards.

In the end of the day it also comes down to workload. We are volunteers with our own lives and with the heavy signups on Awesomia I believe we could have up to 100 players left out. That could mean 100 tickets. It's just not a workable solution for the team. None of us is very keen on having split battles and we have had discussions trying to find other solutions but so far we haven't found one.
Having two battles we can at least make sure that the people that got left out in the first battle get into the second one. You might say "you will get 100 tickets in either way", but it seems when players think they just have to send in a ticket to get a reward it's much easier to do it than to request a spot in the second battle.
We will try to find a better solution for the next event.

i would like to request the chest with random previous years to be regular gift from awesomia digs along with red/blue letter please

could you make so that the losing side get better gifts? just like dying in battle double your event resources, losing on awesomia would give you a spinach or something nicer

awesomia is always in favor of the attack side, atk overfill and defense lacks guns - a better reward for the losers will make so that peeps joins blues

You're lucky if your Attack side is strong. I mostly see people stacking the Defense because it's easier and they want to pad their stats.

pfft, why would not peeps pick defence? Stats aside, it is not like anyone can win an awesomia battle.

With the recent meta i think it's much easier to win in a leaderless attack than in defence when a lot of the people wear sector bonus sets that improve the dmg, attack and def value of everyone that mostly stays in the large sectors afk waiting for the battle to finish. Defence has to react and swap much more often and because players arent active enough it quickly goes to the point of bailing towers and walls thus losing in defence.
Also those bonus sets arent that effective in defence plus its much harder to have 3 people with the required buffs on every tower/wall.

As for the gifts from Awesomia they should never be sets or items that are auctionable since this will encourage the never ending multi's present on all servers. The gifts should be only bonds/buffs in non-event time. During events currency are still not a good thing since multis can use them but still they are the prefered bonus for usual players as well.

In my opinion if it is decided to maybe give 2 gifts or increase the value i believe fortune cookies or other chests that give non-auctionable collectible items are the best. For example in a recent cookie i got a Legendary knife that is not auctionable and would be interested to get the full set and other collectibles similar to that.

A while back some GM characters were introduced to the game like this one with FF gear on and that's presently sitting at #2 in Colorado rankings:

From Roth's message here, I gather that the plan is to introduce NPC characters to fort battles. That would be quite interesting - however we are yet to see any action on that front. Can we please see it in action in the near future?

I have just done the NPC ff on El Dorado. I assume this is the one advertised as being on Sep. 15 in the other "2024 Awesomia Battle Initiative" thread: no additional NPC ff has been dug. However, 3 x 650 pretzel bags were not awarded as stated they would be. What is the scoop?

Yes, but that only applies to those worlds that didn't vote against it (this is outside of an event so, just Colorado, Kansas, Montana, and Navajo)
We may rerun the survey on an annual basis (and include Navajo this time), so perhaps soon.
{I still have never seen any survey at all regarding this topic of voting for/or against rules/limitations concerning any kind of 'team number balancing' for FF! How can a valid vote be held when players do NOT know about either the issues at hand, the survey&/or the vote itself!). I posed questions before and I have no idea how Goober's answer can even be considered as a thoughtful reply despite all that hard work I'm sure he somehow gets done in other worlds... Truly no offense implied here, Goober, BUT I would like an opportunity to see how the rules applied to much larger worlds could even work successfully in Briscoe. I'm engaged in a long-running telegram asking for Briscoe's FF suggestions while taking into account all alliances. Definitely NOT easy to do! Perhaps you could give us a few suggestions since you are our FF expert and I place zero faith in your words: "We MAY rerun the survey on an annual basis (Really? ONLY once a year and a maybe at that!, Goober??) & even that's a "maybe"!! I am fighting to keep FF alive and well in Briscoe along with it's "battle's" being actual battles and NOT just a slaughter that allows some players to up their k/o's while others simply lose interest! Or there are people like me who want to win by capturing the Flag when possible and best for alliance as a whole in big picture (I attack a lot in FFs!) but have been intimidated by other players saying that IF I I try to do so, they'll quit the FF and/or never FF with me again instead of stating their reasoning... I do know that I don't know everything about FFing for sure!! They seem to wanna rack up huge damage scores, etc. I understand that for players who've been FF here for 15 years or so (yet not all of us FFing have all that under our belt, so to speak., BUT NOT flagging every time even when appropriate in big picture because individuals want to k/o all the opposition is NOT always okay either!! And certainly threatening FFs (me for sure) who want to win by capturing the Flag should NEVER be chastised, put down or threatened by their own team mates! SO - ideas on any of my thoughts/feelings that I've expressed here? Especially you, Goober, as I do not appreciate being patronized like I feel you did last time I asked you most of these questions. Truly no offense, just want helpful suggestions, please! And thank y'all as always! :-))
