18 Years of The West - ID Design contest

We will post at the end the links for arts which are accepted for the contest. Please keep the focus on sending in art and asking questions if any.

As rules stated, AI may be used for some extent as long as sources are stated, and progress photos have been attached. We will make it more clear in the future for AI use for hand drawings, too. But generally, the same rules should apply for sending proofs, as the digital art.

Players have until the end of the contest to rectify their mistake by uploading the needed proofs, based on the rules of the contest. Entries which do not follow these rules, will not be considered.

Exactly, I spoke with Syntex about this yesterday and everything was passed on to him. Instead of trying to disqualify the good designs, focus on creating something of equal quality. The important thing is to participate. Long live the West!

I'm not going to participate because I can't draw a soccer ball, I don't like Luk as a player, but saying it's easy to do what he did is embarrassing. Stop being jealous, the guy is good. I don't want to protect him; I was even talking to my boyfriend about it yesterday during the game. Just do a better one, it'll be less embarrassing for you.
That being said, Tanzstafe has the best art for me :lovetw:

This game has marked my life, and after I learned about this competition I started putting my favorite hobby to the test. It wasn't easy; I took it to work and continued at night after putting the children to sleep. Today I finished, with the help of my wife who helped me write the small letters without trembling (I love you Barbara). I hope I'm among the top 5; what matters is participating. Long live The West!

OBS:I didn't have a recording assistant, so I filmed and edited as much as possible to keep the video from exceeding 10 hours. Thanks everyone.

After detailing the step-by-step process of my idea for the final design (which will be presented in the next finalists' post), I didn't see the need to publish the sketch, as I made the festive artwork by hand, and the administrators also didn't see the need, since they would include it in the next stage. However, to put an end to the gratuitous insults directed at me by former participants who aren't even participating in the competition, I decided to publish the step-by-step process in advance (and stay within the rules and be on equal footing with the other competitors fairly), putting an end to the complaints of envious people and sparing the administrators from receiving messages from people who lack the ability to create something good.

The rule is clear: AI elements can be used (after rereading the rules, I saw that I needed to cite the sources). Since I couldn't edit the post, I sent it privately to Syntex, who said it was fine and that it wouldn't harm my merit in creating a good design, and that he would publish it in the next stage.

I used AI to refine my idea and thus give my drawing a more professional touch. If you think it's easy to copy something with the naked eye, congratulations, you're a genius. I'm not a professional; I've been drawing as a hobby since I was a child, watching anime like Dragon Ball and drawing Goku while watching it on TV (I don't draw real people like the professional who insulted me above). Congratulations on your talent; I'm just a humble amateur.

Before belittling or calling someone a liar, try to get to know the person. This is just a friendly competition, where losing won't change anything in my life, and the prize isn't very attractive; for the complainers, it seems to be worth $10,000 :D. If you want, you can give the nuggets to the second-place winner (if I win), I don't mind. I only participated to honor a game I've loved for 18 years, so grow up and try applauding others.

If you don't like me because I lost a few duels in the game, that's fine, but taking it personally and defaming me here by saying I'm a cheater, shame on you. I wasn't going to say anything else, but my drawing turned out good enough to get this far, and deep down that makes me happy :D. Without further ado, here's the step-by-step.

_________________________________________

Step 1

I took a screenshot of Henry's picture in the game bar and sent it along with the prompt. Prompt: Let's create a realistic image of Henry (with no text showing) in the format of an ID card, using the entire A4 sheet, leaving no space on the edges, so that the character looks as realistic as possible in a picture frame format.
Step 2

I'm not very good at editing, but I used this site to express my ideas so I could translate them into the drawing, resulting in this:
_________________________________________

After that, I started drawing and creating things on the spot, and in the end, I got the result that angered some people. I hope this ends and they leave the administrators in peace. If you have any questions, send me a private message here or in the game. Best regards and good luck to everyone.

I drew both at home and at work. I have two young children, and I only drew for a few minutes at night after putting them to sleep. At my company's office, I had more time, but this is the material I used (photo of my home office). If you want, I can post a photo of my work office too, but only tomorrow :D. Now I'm going to rest.

I chose to create an old ID card format where it's folded in half, so there are two parts to the card : the presentation when it's folded, and the inside when it's open.

I used only images directly taken from the game; the fonts are from the website dafont, and I made arrangements with basic tools of The Gimp. It's clearly not the best but I did what I could. No use of Artificial Intelligence at all, but I can't guarantee either there's any intelligence at all in this :-D (and if you wonder : yes, the silly face is made on purpose :'P I also used basic tools of The Gimp to do it).

The deadline is 2026-05-17 23:59, there are still a few days for the last submissions before the votes. Or for people like me who haven't publicly posted yet their screenshots (I see we are several who haven't).

It happens to be Colorado's 150th Anniversary this year.
Images: Game Avatar, State of Colorado's Seal, and part of the background from this site.
Font: American Scribe - Stylized after a popularly used form of cursive in the 1890's.
Image "texturized" to roughen the look, mimicking the paper used in the day.

I decided to design an identity card for the game itself, using Photoshop. The background, sheriff's badge, seals, and the InnoGames logo were obtained from Google Images. I kept the game's original logo intact, only utilizing AI to reposition 'The' above 'West'. The sheriff's signature was also created with the assistance of AI. The font used are Bookman Old Style and Rockness. I hope you enjoy it!

I have also included the AI-generated (Logo and Signature) images and a picture of the empty version.

Just going to shoot this back up to the recent posts.

make sure to like the entries you enjoy to give it the best chance to win.

Despite wanting to win myself i think @Luk Foster and @-Qsm 's entries deserve a like for quality and creativeness/Uniqueness.
But the voting is up to you until 1-6!
