Legend has it that the candy cane dates back to 1670, when the choirmaster at the Cologne Cathedral in Germany handed out sugar sticks among his young singers to keep them quiet during the Living Creche ceremony,” Schildhaus says. “In honor of the occasion, he bent the candies into shepherds' crooks

Since Sweden is next door to Denmark, probably about 150 years. If you’ve got a sweet tooth, then the small town of Gränna, Sweden, may be your idea of heaven. Tucked away on the eastern shore of Vättern, the country’s second-largest lake, Gränna (population approximately 2,600) is known primarily for one thing: the polkagris, a striped candy cane (or peppermint stick) that has been made here for more than 150 years.

It all began in 1859 when Amalia Eriksson, an impoverished local widow, began making polkagrisar to support herself and her daughter. Eventually others followed suit, and today there are a dozen or so polkagris bakeries lining the main street of the town. Visitors can watch the candies being made, try a hand at the baking, and, of course, sample some of the finished product.

The origins and meaning of the candy cane are unclear and heavily debated.
The background of how the candy cane came to be has various avenues to explore, as there is no determined point that history books know when the candy cane emerged or even why it was created. One theory of it's origin and meaning is that in 1670, a choirmaster in Germany gave sugar sticks to unruly choir boys and children to quiet them while the Living Creche ceremony was being held at the Cologne Cathedral. The ceremony is part of a mass service to commemorate the birth of Jesus and creates a live nativity for parishioners to enjoy and worship with. Sugar sticks were the popular candy in Germany, and several parts of Europe, at the time but people complained about giving out candy during a solemn service, so it is believed the choirmaster bent the stick in order to represent a shepherd’s crook for the service.

I'm not sure if I understand the question. I'm assuming the question is when was the first candy cane made?

Legend has it in 1670 a choirmaster gave a peppermint stick to keep the children quiet during a long nativity program. As some point in time, these were bent into a shepherds hook to hang o the tree. and later still the red and white stripes were added

A record of the 1837 exhibition of the Massachusetts Charitable Mechanic Association, where confections were judged competitively, mentions "stick candy". A recipe for straight peppermint candy sticks, white with coloured stripes, was published in The Complete Confectioner, Pastry-Cook, and Baker, in 1844.

But to be actual first mention of 'candy cane" comes in Ballou's Monthly Magazine in 1866

Howdy Cowboys and Cowgirls,

The evaluation of game 16 is complete

Answer: The candy cane’s origins can be traced back to Europe circa 1670, but it didn’t appear in the U.S. until the 1800s.
They were generally all white until the 1900s, when they took on a shape representing Jesus’ hook for shepherding his lambs and colors representing purity (white) and Christ’s sacrifice (red).
