10/10 pieces of music

Personally I think that only four songs/pieces of music have ever achieved a 10/10 grade.

And I think that anyone who gives more than 5 songs 10/10 is being too generous.

Here are mine:

  • Starálfur by Sigur Rós (Album: Ágætis Byrjun; Genre: Post-rock; Country: Iceland; Year: 1999)
  • Clair de Lune by Claude Debussy (Suite: Suite bergamasque; Genre: Classical; Country: France; Year: 1888)
  • Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence by Ryuichi Sakamoto (Film Soundtrack: Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence; Genre: Classical; Country: Japan; Year: 1983)
  • Lonely Soldier by Damien Rice and Christy Moore (Single; Genre: Folk; Country: Ireland; Year: 2004)
Just a note: Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence is the instrumental version of the song. The vocal version is Forbidden Colours. Forbidden Colours gets about an 8/10 from me.
