I've just noticed that energy doesn't restore to full after level up. I'm not sure is that a bug, or it supposed to be like that. Atm i have only 17 energy left, with no resources to bring it up. Should i just do nothing next 24 hours to have energy boosted?

There are no GM towns :)
energy refill (after level up) came with update 1.23 in 2009
there are ghost towns with level 1 hotel on map, where you need to pay 10$ to sleep

My actual feedback after trying the classic thing after God knows how many years.
The nostalgia is in the air and really memories of 2008 high school duels with my friends are coming back in my mind. Good times, but,,,,
This in 2008 is great.
This in 2023 is embarrassing.

(Can't edit my post, but this is what it looks like with the chat script, nostalgia guaranteed)

A couple of new features, quality of life improvements and mechanics, and it could be an award winning game, as evidenced by the awards it won when that actually happened.
It would easily become boring and repetitive. Raffles bring a lot of activity, both during them and after the items become auctionable. And the fort battles are the ones that keep many servers alive.

Boring and repetitive?
I mean isn't it we already have with v2.0 along with never-ending click fest?

Well yes Fort Battles are what keep the server(s) alive but they did exist before v2.0 sooo..

Don't get me wrong though I don't say one can't enjoy v2.0 (and we did sometimes) but there needs to be many changes.. which Inno won't bother doing.

Chat script by Sly is pretty much working now, the legend. Consider it a beta version for now.

Okay apparently we can use this in Mobile too. (Thanks Diggo and Lulu)

Steps:
> Download Firefox
> From menu pick Add-ons and download Tampermonkey (via + button)

then go to https://westdb.info/js/classic.user.js and install

refresh the game page and voila.

Ps. Chrome based browsers don't seem to have the option.

Ps. nr.2 It is much more than just a chat script.

I mean, it's just the same duelling as we have always had, except in this version the duelling is more balanced, the quests are meaningful and the teamplay is absolute. There's plenty of enjoyment in what this version is.

And in a month of Classic, we'll be lucky to reach level 30 out of 99 - there is plenty of content still to be re-explored. I doubt a year would see many level 99s, and there's new gear and quests, and jobs that unlock, to keep you interested. As well as the duel wars.

Add a couple of the features that were actually added in Classic to subsequent versions and forget about me ever logging into the casino dress-up simulator again.

The positivity of the effect of Tombolas on activity is extremely debatable, no doubt it makes a lot more money than Classic ever would though. Fort battles, the main attraction, don't keep servers alive, the players on the server keeps them alive - and we keep just one-ish worlds alive that way.

Fort battles, the main attraction, keep like one server alive today.
cause it died on others

except absurd (and upgraded) OP sets NOT deciding the outcome..

1 month is way too short..

Just because the game has many problems now doesn't mean that an early version without many essential features is better. Was the game in 2008 better than the game in 2023? The answer is yes if you are in 2008. If there were no changes at all from that point on, there would be no the west now. I would really like a permanent classic server, I'm curious how many players will remain after 1 year of playing.

You'll be surprised how many berry pickers are in this game that don't care if it looks like x or y.
