As much as I hate to be on the receiving end of Crits, they are needed when you have 30-35k HP Soldiers .. and around 1 million HP on both sides.

ST (of Meds and Bigs) is currently OP cause Duelers on ground miss A Lot since Tower boosts and Cortina, which also means less Critics.

And DT is OP cause Duelers on it rarely miss.. Which means more Critics.

Unpopular opinion since there are many stat hunters aka "PROs" nowadays:
They should introduce the HP & leadership cap level.

to be honest the DPH (damage per hit) on servers without union is not THAT bad. it would be ideal to remove all the high damage from the weapons that have it (like lucille or deputy or union weapons), because they have a heavy influence in adventures as well and it is still enough to demolish any tank standing solo on a tower sector without the tower bonuses. if every tank would be built accordingly, with a murrieta/phoebe lv2 weapon you deal around 700-800 dmg per hit (without nugget set bonus ofc) , even less sometimes. then you would have ~high damage only on lv2-3 weapons and on clothing sets that have a lot of extra leadership. but, if you have a lot of well built tanks with cortina, the battles will take forever to be conquered, potentially not at all. so i don't know. solutions are there, it's important for the responsible people to act accordingly, as they did until now (jk). we'll see how this new world is going, but the way those new worlds are usually a good way for a cash grab, they'll probably release nugget sets and cortina as soon as possible and it will mess up fort fights again.

xmas bags will have Cortina afaik, apart from 2020 DotD Chest.

It's actually not Cortina itself that gives "that much" Resistance though, it's the combination of Nugget Bear set with Mask.

But yea Cortina has LOTS of Hp and I don't like no-brain Full Hp builds.
Like some still goes for Full Str and it mostly works..

I mean there is no incentive for doing the opposite.
For example the resistance difference from stats for 15k v 30k HP is close to 0.

:poffer a counterLiberatarian set with ultra-extreme tactics to defend against even the most aggressive complainer, bellyacher, crybaby, grumbler, moaner, sniveller, squawker, whiner given to excessive complaining crying and whining? introduce pregnant heifers in place of bulls in order to balance out rodeo matches

I wonder how many voted for this place

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Las_Vegas (founded 1905, incorporated 1911, definitely past the time of "the wild west")

instead of:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Las_Vegas,_New_Mexico (established 1835)

And Illinois, seriously, nobody says "Las Vegas, baby!" in response to Las Vegas NM :D :D

Las Vegas, baby!

Originally just a stop along the Santa Fe Trail, an early 19th-century north-south pioneer route, it wasn’t until the railroad arrived in Las Vegas that things got dark. A magnet for murders, thieves, and gamblers, historian Ralph Emerson Twitchell once said, “Without exception, there was no town which harbored a more disreputable gang of desperadoes and outlaws than did Las Vegas.” Jesse James, Billy the Kid, Doc Holliday, Wyatt Earp, and others made up the rotating cast of notorious characters that frequented the town. While modern Las Vegas has cleaned up its act, it remains very much rooted in those early days, with over 900 buildings in town listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. Ranching heritage is widely celebrated here too, with a series of annual events that include a rodeo, Heritage Week (seven days of historical tours and buffalo stew dinners), and Fiestas, a New Mexican celebration dating back to the 1880s.

Although we aren't always in character in game, somehow, Las Vegas manages to destroy my suspension of disbelief. It was not part of the Old West, and when you think of Las Vegas, you picture casinos, hotels, live shows, gambling, the Mafia, and lights in the town that never sleeps. You don't think of the old west. There were so many better choices. :(

True, but it does seem like a fitting name for the countless tombolas, nugget grabs, slight of hand deals that inno are famous for in this game. To be honest, this may be the first honest game world name that I have seen.

And, all of y'all know I am right in that assessment ;)

I agree there were some better suggestions for old west names. This name on the forum has been suggested so often previously as a pun to the constant claim that INNO deliberately desires to sabotage the west game by granting it no unique privileges but runs it exactly like it does with all the other online games it markets. Might it be possible that there were enough members who think in those terms so as to vote for the name for that reason only?

-------------

The truth is this online game is not rocket science regardless of how much someone wants to dissect settings or produce scripts for it. It can be easily played by a 12 year old child. Yet adult players relentlessly desire to manage how the game is to be employed. I do wonder after so many years of constant nagging with a desire to change the gambling/marketing aspect of an online game can they not also reason it is completely out of the players control? Choosing a name to signify some rebellious movement will do little to influence the owners.

--------------------------

On the other hand for those players who want to remain as western enthusiasts because they relate to some interest they might have in old western life history can find a connection to a Spanish name like "vegas".
