Following my woefully pessimistic predictions of the landing of the Rover, I have to say how delighted I am that Curiosity is fully functional - and is now viewing the surrounds through its two mast cams.
No surprises that the up close and panoramic shots look just like a desert surface on Earth.

Pictures of Mars won't be, but the level of technology required to reach Mars will result in scientific improvement, which is a big help to Earth.
