Innogames and math just don't go together. For years they struggle with it. Using an energy buff - for example, they show you a pop up "your energy increased to 45 points" and your energy bar fills up to 44 at the same time. Two different formulas for the same thing on the same screen, because it's just so hard to calculate how much 15% of 150 actually is, and then add that to another number.:no:

Who knows why, but I Threw £20 at the tombola to try to get duel gear from the tier 5 chest on the new world, since everyone has that now and I actually wanted to be competitive. I would have been satisfied with spending that money for any set to sell and continue having fun, but no. Nothing but death cards and now I don't want to play anymore.

You can literally lose a gamble for pixels. What are you doing Inno? This is why everyone hates your company and why everyone left this game.

turning the west into a terrible casino. Bring back duels, bring back forts, I've had enough of the gambling.

The frustration is part of it as far as I understand. I think this documentation (timestamped) fits with what you experienced. Just that you decided not to buy more. Unless you changed your mind ;)

btw the chance to get to stage 5 and get a sun card there is 13,17%. Then you have a 6,2% chance to get a death chest. That means 0,81% chance to get through stage 5 and get the chest.
And then you have a 32% chance to get one of the six chests. That means a ~0,26% chance to get a death chest and open it and get one of the 6 chests.
So you need to play almost 400 rounds (on average) to get 1 of the chests you were looking for. If every replay costs 25 nuggets, that would be ~200€ :oh: Even with the current discount...
Of course you would also get ~51 (13%) other items from stage 5.

long story short, it's probably better to not force your luck.

Regarding feedback... I think the new questline "Celebrating life" requires to many high level stuff (fruit liqueur, bullet casings, ink) for players on Kansas. It will put most of the players to the mercy of a few hyper active players that already have the edge.

I think "Loot collection" could work.

Something like:
1st and 2nd stages were success but 3rd wasn't and u hit the reaper.
So you either bribe the 3rd stage and move on, OR you accept it to get the rewards of 1st and 2nd stages (with some failure flowers)

That way doubling bribe costs will be justified and people with "bad luck" (or rigged RNG) won't be as frustrated.

Where will we boost our dopamine levels if they do that?
A leaky battery inserted into the urethra is more euphoric than Day of the Dead tombola.

The Casino effectively makes it so that you have no choice (especially on the new world), you either keep gambling until you get the gear to be competitive in PvP, or you don't enjoy the game at all anymore. I do understand that it all comes down to luck. Luck determines how PvP goes now. It's nothing to do with building your town, finding or trading for gear that works, it's simply luck that you get the right set out of all the sets we have been flooded with over the years. (or as you said, you can pay to remove the luck element)

Sure, I'd rather they just deleted all code related to the toxic tombolas that killed this game, but I'll take actually winning the pixels you paid for, even if it's not the pixels you actually wanted.
I remember now why everyone used to go on vacation mode during DotD, and come back for Christmas, well now you can't get the DotD sets at Christmas, thus removing a reason to come back to this Loot Box Simulation - formerly known as The-West, multi-award winning PvP browser game.

tbh I was surprised how much it actually cost to get this stuff.
I guess unless one wants to spend tons of $ the best approach is to get Cortina items and trade them in a few weeks.

btw it's the same with fort fights on Kansas right now. Since some players already have upgraded Cortina sets or zapata etc. on Kansas. So for the next weeks or month fort fights are pointless.

Sad thing is that this is how they make money. So they won't remove it, unless they have to. And to be fair, there probably wouldn't be enough people that would pay for a "normalized" the west.

Worst part is, they gave Captain set on the best and easiest Event of all but Tanks has to pay tonsa Nuggets (including Nugget Bear set) to be a little bit better against Damagers while any freebie Damager can destroy any Tank easy enough.

Such scam.
btw it's the same with fort fights
Ironic ain't it.

It's only National servers get any use of Tanky sets.
I get the impression that they base the Set bonuses on National servers (which has much less Damagers), even though they've seen how IFBC 3 epic fail'ed..
