The Mountain Farmer and the Shepherdess

I accepted this quest yesterday. After purchasing two canteens to meet the quest demands and then making my way to the mountain I discovered that the quest is no longer available in the Saloon. It's still listed in the quest tracker though but won't open in the saloon when I click it. What gives?

what time did you check for it? I'm pretty sure this quest step is only open between 0300 and 1130 game time

it shows I need to have an arabian and have it equipped which i do yet it wont show it

It says:
- Arabian 0/1
- Equip Arabian 1/1

that is two Arabian horses, right?

Thanks for that info. I was going to try purchasing another to see if that did the trick.
