I'd go for a patdown if a girl does it ;)

there same sex and they touch all your private areas

its either that or the machine that takes nude pictures of you

many of which have already been leaked onto the internet AND they discovered on most of htem u can invert the colors on photoshop and tweek a setting or to and make a full color nude pic out of it

Oh that's just fantasy again. Don't you ever have anything true to post?

This is one of the images leaked from the U.S. Marshal's office in Florida (the only recorded image leak, btw, and really --- look at it, who cares?):

BODY-SCAN.jpg

As you can see, nothing there to turn into pornography. The scanners used at the Florida courthouse, where the above photo came from, uses a technique called millimeter wave, which produces this detail-blurred image yet still allows weapons and other questionable items to be identified by the system.

So, anyway... the body scanners being used at U.S. airports do not have the ability to save images. Even if they did, this is how those images look:

I think we can safely say, nobody wants to see a so-called photoshop inverted version of this.

I flew out of Saskatoon to Victoria a couple of weeks ago. I put my belongings on the conveyor belt, including my jacket. I was asked to take my laptop out of its bag. I did. I went through the scanner and was asked to step aside.

I was lucky enough to be randomly chosen for a pat-down. :/

It was fine. A female security guard came over and asked me to put my arms out at shoulder height. She was polite and respectful, but quickly patted every part of me. I was polite and respectful in return and the whole incident lasted all of thirty seconds.

It was a non-issue because I can see the validity behind these measures.

Yeah, I remember before 9/11 flying from seattle to vegas and back. My friend had a duct taped cell phone that really looked like a bomb, as well as a pocket full of keys, etc... walked right through with no problems. Needless to say we didnt exactly feel safe on that flight.

Next plane I took after 9/11 it was much different, they made me take of my shoes and pat me down. Frankly it looked like th guy doing the pat down wasnt enjoying it anymore than I was, but I still felt safer knowing that at least something was being done.

As for the full body scans, I would prefer those over the pat downs, considering it helps move airport traffick along faster and safer, I dont mind if there are some blurry black and whites of me out there. Of the 1000's of people subjected to these searches every day, I am just another person not carrying a gun and am confident I am of no interest. even knowing the pictures where semi-detailed like the links above, I am not that worried about it.

What's the point of any pat-down if they don't check your privates?
Seriously, have you ever searched anyone for a weapon before, or even learned the basics of doing such a thing?

The whole thing with flying these days makes me glad that I never travel. With my luck, I'd have a body scan done and be charged with manslaughter when people died laughing at it. :censored:

Lets not confuse spider with facts. You know he has never met one he liked.

lol considering the fact that untill today EVERYONE thought it was legit your thinly veiled insults are rather lame

seconly it still doesnt change the fact that the crappy scans you posted were taken from other scources and not the acculay high resolution scans that the airlines use that are accurate enuff to tell weather or not a man is circumsized

@ elie the body scanners dont even dectect plastics and ceramics so the problem is still the same

Over reactive paranoia inducing way of getting people used to the idea, things will only get more intrusive. Don't like it & wouldn't want to through an airport I know is operating this system. Have no plans to visit the US but if I did would certainly make me reconsider as a tourist.

Let's see:

  1. The so-called crappy scans I posted were:
    • from a Florida courthouse and
    • from TSA, which is utilizing industry standards scanners.
  2. The scans you posted were fakes, created with Photoshop by reverse-imaging actual nude photos.
So, what facts were you saying again?

@ elie the body scanners dont even dectect plastics and ceramics so the problem is still the same
And here you are, once again, being wrong. Metal detectors cannot detect plastics or ceramics, but body scanners are not metal detectors, and instead work with light imaging technologies combined with image recognition software so particular recorded shapes, found anywhere on or inside your body (depending on the settings), be they metal, ceramic, plastic, or liquid, are quickly red-flagged.

Look spider, if you want a discussion that is going to present "real" answers, you have to keep with presenting honest information. So far all you provided was misinformation and fake photos. At this point I'm going to assume you were duped by the fakes and posed misinformation due to your ignorance. I would hate to think the alternative, which is that you were intentionally attempting to deceive the community members.

Umm, you do realize this sort of stuff has been used in many other countries for some time now, right? The U.S. has been notoriously behind the times when it came to airport security.
