Howdy!

We are happy to announce that version 2.20 will be released within the next few days! Exact date will be provided to the community closer to the release.

With version 2.20, a new feature will be released - Item upgrading!
It's rather pointless and no advantage given for owning three donkeys, but now you will have the opportunity to take all three donkeys and merge them into a better donkey for example. Along with this update there will also be some bugfixes as well as small game improvements.

Item Upgrading
You can now upgrade your items to make them stronger. All you need is three identical items and a few dollars or nuggets. Then you can merge these three items into a "1-star item" with higher a bonus. Three 1-star items can then be forged into a 2-star item that will be even stronger. This works with almost all items, a few rare items are excluded thought. A couple of achievements for the item upgrading are waiting to be discovered as well. Important for script developers: We changed all item IDs to a new system that represents the item's level directly in the ID. You might need to adjust your scripts to accommodate this change.
Read more about the Item Upgrading in our Wiki once it becomes available.

Adventures affront system
It is very important for us to maintain a nice and fair environment. For that, it is needed that players who are not playing according to the rules can be reported and will get punished. Now, bad language in Adventure chats can be reported just like in the general chat and our team will take action against this bad behavior.

Shop Sale notifications
Every weekend, from Friday to Sunday, we have a random discount on our item shop. Now, there will be a notification on the left-hand side that informs you about these sales in the shop. Also, the shop icon on the bottom of the interface is now highlighted better to attract attention.

Collector card description

Collector cards are a special type of consumable item. Before, the description in the mouseover said "Contains an item". Since this is not the case for collector cards, we gave them a unique description instead.

Bugfix list:

  • No warning was present when sending a telegram to a non-existent player.
  • Many Adventure translation fixed.
  • After updating, sometimes the logging in on closed worlds was possible.
  • "Rush on Tombstone" town existed on the map twice.
  • Some achievements were duplicated and/or in the wrong section.
  • Bartender's Set - bonus.
  • Venomous snake has no speed.
  • Telegrams: "subject" text field escaped from the window in some browsers.
  • Town: Chrome: missing "hand" symbol when mousing over town buildings or saloon quest givers.
  • Start fort battle timer is incorrect (server time vs. local time problem).
  • Properties of Long Range Revolvers (Item ID 44040-44047) weren't consistent, now none of them are auctionable or sellable.

Here is a little more information regarding our new item upgrading feature. Please understand that this feature is still in beta phase and may change during the transition to our EN worlds.

  • 3 identical items can be forged into a level x+1 item. Example: 3 blue bandanas can be forged into one 1-star blue bandana. Three 1-star bandanas can be forged into one 2-star bandana.
  • Upgrading items costs dollars or nuggets, depending on the price of the item and the level of this item.
  • Currently you can only upgrade up to level 5 which might be raised at a later stage in a future update.
  • Only the following bonuses get higher when upgrading items: Skills and attributes, damage and traveling speed. Level-dependent bonus also work.
  • Upgraded items are sellable but not auctionable. Be careful: The sell prices don't change according to level.
  • Set bonus stay the same but you can combine items of different levels for the set to work.
  • Many new achievements have been added plus a couple of hidden ones.
  • You can either pay with dollars or with nuggets (Note: At the moment you don't have a choice, you always pay with dollars if you have enough and with nuggets if you don't. This will change!)
  • Filter in the inventory shows all upgradable items (Soon only items that you have at least 2 of will be added)
  • Search in the inventory was moved to the bottom.
  • Prices of many items have been adjusted for a better balancing and fairer upgrade prices.
  • Important: From level 0 to level 1 you always get at least +1 to skill and attribute points. After that you get exactly 10% of the base value with each upgrade. Mathematical rounding applies - Example: A base item with +1 strength and +3 vigor gets upgraded to level 2. The stats now are: +2 strength, +4 vigor. On level 3 you still get +2 strength (1,2) and + 4 vigor (+3,6). This stays the same until level 5, when you will have +2 strength (1,5) and +5 vigor (4,5).

We have decided not to include the Item Upgrading in next week’s update to version 2.20.

While the feature is running pretty stable on the Public Beta worlds and all major technical difficulties have been solved, we are still not fully satisfied with the Game Design and would like to have more time to react on Community feedback.

Already in our discussion thread, some big concerns have been mentioned which we would prefer to look into before releasing such a big feature in the game.

New release date of the Item Upgrading feature will be announced closer to the next update after version 2.20.
