I guess it is, what you don't know can't hurt you.... well I guess it can sometimes but in the minds of the regular people knowledge can create panic.

To me, ignorance is not bliss. I'd rather know everything that is about to happen, and not knowing makes me worried. Even if there isn't anything I can do, I'd rather know than not know.

Ignorance may be bliss, but I'm not real sure about stupidity. If you don't know something, that's ignorance; if you refuse to(or can't) learn it, that's stupidity. I don't think ignorant people know they're ignorant.
