As questions have arisen, here it is:
A Game Mastered world is a world in which Volunteer Moderators and Volunteer Players work together to provide a theme, inclusive of events, both staged and ad-lib. For the most part the participants are in character to the theme. For example, in W4, Mexican leads (councilors/founders) of the GMed town La Bahia are dressed in the Mexican set and write with a Mexican accent, while Texian leads (councilors/founders) of the GMed town of Gonzales are dressed in a soldiers outfit and write with a Texian or foreign accent.
Events, actions, and rewards (if any) vary according to what is presented, and the goal of a Game Mastered world is to provide something "new" for the playerbase to enjoy. However, it must be understood that Game Mastered events are volunteer events. EVERY person, providing interplay in a Game Mastered world, is a volunteer and their actions are not mandatory. So, on that note, treat them and their efforts with respect.
