The Texas Revolution or Texas War of Independence was a military conflict between Mexico and settlers in the Texas portion of the Mexican state Coahuila y Tejas. The war lasted from October 2, 1835 to April 21, 1836. However, a war at sea between Mexico and Texas would continue into the 1840s. Animosity between the Mexican government and the American settlers in Texas (who were called Texians), as well as many Texas residents of Mexican ancestry, began with the Siete Leyes of 1835, when Mexican President and General Antonio López de Santa Anna Constitution of 1824 and proclaimed a new anti-federalist constitution in its place.
The new laws were unpopular throughout Mexico, leading to violence in several states. War began in Texas on October 2, 1835, with the Battle of Gonzales. Early Texian successes at La Bahia and San Antonio were soon met with crushing defeat at the same locations a few months later. The war ended at the Battle of San Jacinto where General Sam Houston led the Texian Army to victory over a portion of the Mexican Army under Santa Anna, who was captured shortly after the battle. The conclusion of the war resulted in the creation of the Republic of Texas in 1836.

Summary
(Nacogdoches Rebellion)

Purpose
The purpose of any game mastered world is to reinvigorate a slow or dieing world, give it new meaning, even restructure it if allowed by Innogames. However, in order for it to work, we need to not only make it unique and entertaining for the players, we need to make it entertaining for ourselves. For our first original project, we have the Texas Revolution.
Description
The World 4 event is a fictional representation of the Texas Revolution of 1835-1836, within the constraints that is The West game. Timeline will be based on historical events along with some purely fictional additions. The events will, for the most part, follow the same chronological settings as that of the Texas Revolution, starting in October 2nd, 1835 to correspond with October 2nd, 2010. Yep, that means we're on or about July of 1835.

We'll attempt to work along this timeline --- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline_of_the_Texas_Revolution
Entities
The Texas Revolution Game Mastered event will consist of two major entities.
NPC Town of La Bahia - Representing the Mexican Republic
NPC Town of Gonzales - Representing the Texas Revolution
Each town will share a forum with all other townships that ally themselves to one of the two factions, or "armies" (those towns allying with the Mexican Republic will share a forum with La Bahia, while those towns allying with the Texas Revolution will share a fort with Gonzales).
Mexican Republic (Army)
Texas Revolution (Army)
The existence of these factions is merely to serve as differentiators of the opposing sides, and as prerequisites for the fort raffle (discussed in the next section).
Incentive
As with any idea, without incentive, there is no participation, no lure. We'll start out with one incentive, that of free forts:
La Bahia & Gonzales will initiate fort wars. The specific forts they plan to attack will not be indicated, but the approximate times of said attacks will be advertised. If the fort is won by the attacker, all "army" participants of the attack are thrown into a raffle. The winner of that raffle gains the fort for their respective town, for free. In other words, we'll give them a free fort (granted, larger active towns have a greater chance of winning the raffle, but so too do they have a greater chance of holding onto the fort they win in a raffle, and the chance still exists for smaller townships to win a fort)
Restrictions

Staggered Attacks - To ensure La Bahia and Gonzales towns both obtain opportunities to initiate fort wars, they will take turns (each town will attack a fort at most once every 48 hours, with 24 hour intervals between each town's attacks). Specifics to be worked out via scheduling.

Limited Defense - Residents of La Bahia will only help defend against attacks initiated by Gonzales. Residents of Gonzales will only help defend against attacks initiated by La Bahia (as we have limited control over the players, this restriction is only enforceable with councilors and founders, but I do wish to request we encourage this policy throughout the two townships, as residents of said towns will serve a greater purpose, that of moving along various events, over and above fort wars).

No forts - to avoid distractions with our greater goal, La Bahia and Gonzales will not own or occupy any forts. As they do not own their own forts, are not tasked to defend forts they occupy, and as fort wars initiated by the respective towns are staggered, they will not be distracted by attacks on forts while they, themselves, are attacking a fort. In other words, our job is simple. We attack or we defend, but never at the same time.

No Attacking Allies
This is generally understood but, just to ensure there's no confusion, La Bahia will not initiate an attack on a fort owned by a township of the Mexican Republic, Gonzales will not initiate an attack on a fort owned by a township of the Texas Revolution.

Bottomless Treasury
Both towns will have an endless supply of cash. However, as both towns are already completely built, the cash within their treasuries is limited to initiating fort wars only.

Neutrality
Fort & duel wars between other townships, whether outside of the respective factions or within the factions, is part and parcel to what we want to encourage, but we will do so by neutrality. By our actions, by our infusion of activity, there will result other activities, be they decoy fort wars, duel raids, or internal faction rivalries. That's all good, and we encourage it. The two towns serve as HUBs for chaos. That's the goal.

We now have a Texas Revolution Calendar to display Event fort wars and other events.

Also, we are still looking for player volunteers (Spokes Persons) to help organize and manage ingame events. If you are interested, contact any of the Deputy Sheriffs, Sheriffs, Marshal or Community Managers.

If you have any ideas, want to see something added to the Game Mastered world, start up a post and let's read and discuss your ideas together.
