From January of 2010 we will be running competitions every month! Here are the categories that we are running as a trial for December! The competition is not world specific. That means everyone is competing against each other be they from World Two or World Seven. All entries are to be sent to Diggo11 by PM on the forum.
Fort Fighter Category
In this category participants must inflict the highest total amount of damage (in one battle) within the competition period. This competition will begin on the 11th of December and end on January 1st. There will be a prize for best defender and best attacker. Of course these won't have to come from the same battle.
At the end of the month we shall take entries; entries close 5 days after the month ends. An entry shall have the details in text as well as with a link pointing to the fort battle report for verification (this can be done by going to the fort's graveyard, right clicking the battle link and selecting "copy link location"). The prize for this category shall be 5 premium nuggets and a small extra benefit to be announced later!
Medals Category
In this category participants must obtain the highest amount of gold and 'wreath' medals in a single world. Any medals achieved before the beginning of the contest shall not be counted towards the total. This competition will begin on the 11th of December and end on January 1st.
At the end of the month we shall take entries; entries close 5 days after the month ends. An entry shall detail how many gold plus wreath medals you obtained, as well as the world you achieved them on. The prize for this category shall be 5 premium nuggets.
Roleplaying Category
This category is for the best town or fort flag design that fits within the background of the Old West. This competition will begin on the 11th of December and end on January 1st. The flag must be designed for your town in any world and evocative of the spirit of the Old West. Modern references, while fine, are not the objective of this competition. The rules for submission are as follows:
~You must submit a serious and high quality entry that was designed by yourself.
~Your flag must be limited to 220x150px in a jpeg, png or gif format.
At the end of the month we shall take entries; entries close 5 days after the month ends. As proof of originality please provide links to all source images used like this. The winner shall be decided in a public vote in the Graphics, Art & Media forum. The prize for this category shall be 5 premium nuggets.
