75%? Ok, here you're confusing dodging with a resistance skill. Resistance skills are reflex and toughness - not dodging and toughness. Resistance skills block a portion of the damage that's done to you - dodging affects whether any damage is done to you at all.

Oh - and it's not just reflex against shooting and toughness against dodging. Toughness also helps against firearms and reflex against melee - just not as much. I believe they're 50% effective against the "wrong" type of damage.

There's no level of dodging that will keep you complete safe - even if the person you're dueling has very low aim.

If you were facing someone with an attack value of 5 (the base value without any aim skill or modification from appearance/tactics) whilst your dodging was 100, you'd still expect to get hit 2 times out of every 100.

If the person you were facing had an attack value of 25, that'd go up to 12 times out of every 100.

Not great odds, sure - but the point is that you're never completely impossible to hit.

If your appearance (or tactics as a defender) is higher than your opponent's tactics (or appearance) then that will lower their aim. If they don't have a high aim to start with then that'll significantly reduce their chances of hitting you. Meanwhile, as long as you're hitting them, you'll win more often than not.

A resistance dueller with their defence specifically for your attack style is probable to win. They don't have to duck.

Edit: I'm not sure about that, I need to work out how much effect vigor/shooting has on hits.

i think aim is pretty ***** up, i have 100 aim and i cant hit a resistance soldier, whats up with that?

You should be able to hit them, as long as they haven't got 25 tactics and soldiers premium.

well, i attacked a worker turned resistance dueler, im kinda wondering how my 100 aim sucks while my 50 aim adventurer always hits 4-6 times with just 20 appearance from bonus and attacking tactics geared soldiers. kinda weird

Maybe you were just really unlucky..

That, or his dueling stance is exactly perfect against you (example: you aim left, left, right, right and he dodges exactly that way)

Or..

He could have uberly high tactics+dodge...
